Quick jobs are great when starting out as you can bring in some cash without worrying about resting, refuelling or paying tolls as the employer covers them all (and you get to unlock towns ready for when you become a OO)

I do enjoy this game sometimes too. Although, I've been playing Farming Sim 15 for the last week or so. When I move back to it, I'll be exploring the Scandinavia DLC! :D

Nice to see that I am not the only saddo who loves this game.

Its all about the Volvos. Anything else is not a volvo.

My entire fleet of around 80 trucks are all Volvo except for one Scania, I tried it and I managed to roll it and the load I was hauling on a windy back road so I gave the Scania to one of my drivers and went back to the Volvo.

@Garacesh, if you have a Sunday night free, tune in to Squirrel.tv Twitch stream (It starts at 6, but tbh 7:30 is normally when he starts to drive as it can take an hour for him to customise a truck if it's a ETS week!)

It is a fun game for the cost, and there are enough mods out there that can change the experience, be it different truck styles, massive engines, heavy/wide loads that take route planning or just the expanded maps (Promod)

If you go the whole hog and do VR or TrackIR along with manual shifting then you possibly could even try driving a proper HGV without stalling it :)

Unlike FPS games there is often a more relaxed environment to chill after a work day :p

Remind me on Sunday and I'll give it a look :p

@Garacesh Reminder, appointment at to watch Twitch stream later today.

Just brought American Truck sim last night. Looking good. May start its own topic if enough people have got it
I have it, haven't played it in a while, was waiting for a few expansions to arrive before going back.

Bumping this. I bought the game plus a load of DLC in the steam sale for like a tenner; my PC is awful with running it, but I am excited to T R U C K
