Thanks for all the feedback. So is anyone awares of a system that can write back student attendance for specific periods rather than the statutary am and pm sessions only? We have a system that does the am/pm thing already but our attendance officer says that this is useless and is still maintaining paper sign out books as a result Just interested in what others are doing (sounds like Sign in app).

Hey, We currently have EReception book by Mediabase direct, and aren't happy with what it writes back into SIMS. So on a pupil leaving It will flood fill non-attendance code for the AM and AM sessions, and put a note in the AM register, what the attendace officer wants is a note on the Specific session/period and for it to floo fill from that point, then if the student signs back in for that also to be recorded in a similar way. I have looked at the documentation for a few products and they all appear to operate in the same way, so I am thinking that this is a SIMS limitation, however she swears blind there is a product that does exactly what she wants. Is there a product that will write back to the specific period or am I correct that this is a sims limitation?

We are experiencing this same issue, started sometime after summer break. Enabled the "erase all local user data" to see whether this helps
