    School blocks fb but will look on my own one to see what they say - do you have any opinion on SNG?

    Yes I have quickly realised that its not designed for admin users - but its tricky navigating round it all. For example, i cant seem to find Lesson Monitor, edit marks... Which i use a lot in SIMS7.

    I am about to dive fully into SNG (as an admin person not a teacher) as we're being moved over from SIMS7, and I am not finding things very intuitive or user friendly. It seems very teacher focussed and I am struggling to find things/use things in the same way as I currently do. Any tips and tricks that any one has to share, would be fab! As an example, currently I oversee the behaviour logs and I access this simply by focus, behaviour management, maintain behaviour incidents and then can view things really easily but in SNG it absolutely isn't as easily viewable or filters in the same way. Many thanks all!

    Hi - are there are recommended software bolt-on for SIMS, that can manage peri music lessons? Involve Education seems to be the main one but i wonder if Evolve+/Clubs could do similar (we're looking at upgrading to evolve+ for the clubs element and wondered if it would kill two birds with one stone!?) Or are there other better ones out there? Currently it is done manually via a spreadsheet/sims daily update by hand...

    We use it in the 6th form but we have found the set up quite lengthy (not the IT side - but the actual admin setting up of the whole forms/process) and their call centre seems to be overseas too.

    Can i ask why issues you've experienced in terms of 'its not perfect'? Thanks!

    Not sure but the people i have been dealing with take days/weeks to come back to any email queries - its not ideal.

    Interesting - i am going to ask if SIMS can do similar (we import the ATF into SIMS but then use a ms forms for parents to complete full info and its a manual update into SIMS for any missing data from those forms). We dont use the sims Parents app but we do use Talaxy.

    Have to say the help from EntrySign so far (compare to chasing chasing chasing InVentry for ANYTHING) has been refreshing to say the least.

    Can i ask you more about this? Which MIS do you use for a parent app (pre-admission) to be available?

    My understanding is that entrysign can do this in a way - it can mark pupils as present for the whole day unless they sign out or are marked absent, but otherwise no, it would be AM/PM reg only on all of them, so that it is DfE compliant.

    Hi Scan - we are leaning towards EntrySign also - they seem very knowledgeable and helpful too. How have you found it? In particular the paxton integration?

    Did you end up finding anything else? Have you tried Admicity?

    How did it look? We use Applicaa and wanted to see how Admicity differs (pro/cons for both)...?
