Makes no sense to you, makes perfect sense to me. I will be trucking for a while. A friend of mine has hit level 36, maxed out all skills and is pulling in around £100k per job! He buys all garages as he passes by, and still hasn't unlocked the full map.

Started a Manchester to Calais run last night. 10 secs out of the pickup the air brakes had a fault so i had to sit and wait for the pressure to build back up for about an hour in game time in the middle of traffic......got 3/4 of the way there and the game bloody crashed. missed out on about £25k payout, didn't have the heart to go back in again!

Some cracking jobs come from Rotterdam. Had one yesterday take me to Paris, which is a lovely trip. Also there are some great ones from Felixstowe also, as they hit most of Germany (after level 8 or 9)

I think the last one I completed before the crash was Duisberg to somewhere in Austria. Was a nice run, managed 55mph all the way, but was at night so didn't see too much. Duisberg seems to be the main start/end point for a lot of my recent runs

Speeding fines are the worst...I did 31mph in a 30mph and was hit with a £450 fine!

I only get the kph fines... (still not worked out what they all are) i know 110kph is 70mph

I take it for those you are fined regardless? As in if i drive with no lights down the wrong way, will I be fined or does there have to be a camera/police see me doing it?

Cameras/police need to see it, but sometimes you dont see either and get it.

I was on a country road going from portsmouth to london, no cameras, no police I could see, hit with a speeding fine, no lights and wrong way (I had been driving in Europe all day).

Also, not resting fines are automatic, and they accumulate so be careful, because if you dont rest, for every 10 mins it hits you, as they put a rest stop roughly every 8-9 mins of driving.

I wonder if there a config file i can change the fines.

Which truck you using neph?

I am running the Scania R420, but have an Economy Engine which adds 8% fuel efficiency, and specc'd my truck so that its overall weight is lighter which means more pulling power for bigger loads.

I also have the Volvo FH16 750 which is a beast, as I have hit nearly 100mph with it with the speed restriction off mod!

I got the basic scaina (the one for 107k) and its a great truck. I have upgraded the gearbox is the "r" and uk Spec dashboard.. (i didnt buy that when i got the truck...)

Gotta be the uk spec. Cant be doing with left and drive...

even though i own a truck i've been doing the quick jobs for a while, so if you're on a european job you get left hand regardless. at the moment i'm just enjoying the freedom of picking and choosing a job to do. once i've earned enough to pay off the loan for the initial truck i got i dont mind getting in to the garage more....but considering i bought a left hand drive truck and ended up causing 40% dmage to it within a few miles i'm not going back to it until i have a bit of cash!! :p

the LHD is so useful on European roads as the RHD made me scrape and stuff, was awful being RHD in EU. lol

I just pull out on the wrong side of the road.
