so sending from 2003 to yahoo works fine? Do you have a SM|TP connector on 2003 or only a send connector on 2010? mail flow between 2003>2010>2003 all good?

Test SMTP outward? Incoming OK? Mail in the queues? Any NDR's?

How did you have the OST setup? Was this from an Exch mailbox?

If you have the OST, any reason why you can't open in Outlook and export out to a PST?

Before doing any repair on the DB, make a copy and do a backup, using the /p can cause dataloss. Depends on how critical the data is, you can alwaysuse 3rd party tools to extract the data. With regards to 2010 and DC corruption, not sure how you have this setup or have seen this setup, but you shouldn't have issue with this,

1. Have you enabled the cert for IIS? 2. Also, if the existing one has expired, have you removed that?

What version of Exch? 2010? Seems like tarpitting, change this to 1 sec and check, default is around 5s

If you're going to subscribe it wont work. If you're going to manually create the connectors then it will.

For that audience I can see it can be useful. There isn't one that I know of, may need to be custom developed.

Why not just use the native menu's? Something which is a standard which will help when students leave and move on?

As mentioned above Live@edu is intergrated, if you don't want a cloud solution then deploy Exch on prem.

depends if the product supports restoring a single mailbox and alos I would expect it too restore the databse then ypu can pull out the mailbox.

Yes they should get the pop etc...but you wont get the envelope in the system tray. For this you need a 3rd party pluggin.

1.Doing some testing and need to know if this works for others in their env. 2.Exchange 2010 SP1 (try with any RU), 3.Create a transport rule with the following conditions "from people", "sent to users that are inside or outside the organisation, or partners", "When any attachment file name matches text patterns" and specify .msg (Condition) 4.For the Action, choose " Blind carbon copy (Bcc) the message to addresses" 5.This seems to work with other file extensions but not .msg, i.e .txt, .xlsx, .doc etc... 6.If you can test this rule, would be appreciated.

1. Not sure what forwarding you're using or Exch version? 2. Create EMail address policy for all users so that they have both the .org and .com email address. 3. Point the MX records for .org to the new Exchange server and configure Exchange to be authorative for that domain/accepted domain.

1. The pf.txt shows the content on Exch 2010, the pic you have attached for 2003 is for system folder (non-IPM). 2. You dont seemt o be using PF that much at all, however, as you still have Outlook 2003 around you will still need them. 3. Why do you have 2 send connectors with the same address space, if you dont need both of them remove one.
