Thanks for your replies. I've just checked and they are indeed members of the correct groups. Just compared them with a working user account and all looks correct there. Not at the machine at the moment but will do a GP results scan later. I was wondering if it could be due to Windows. Wasn't there an update recently that messed up deployed printers?

Thanks for your reply. I am suspecting the backlight too. the PC module works fine in another screen so definately the screen at fault. I'm in touch with Prowise but it seems to be taking a while between the UK and Netherlands talking to each other.

Hi all, Anyone know what may be happening? New AD users are not picking up the printers that are set via GPO. If I login with a user that has been here a long time, they get all the correct printers come up. I tried it again this morning with a freshly imaged machine. Logged in with a new user, no printers. Logged is as someone who's been here years, and they get all the printers showing up. Any ideas? Thankyou.

We started back today. Always fun when teachers decide to have a classroom move around without informing me so I now have to get lastminute extra long cables.

I always point them to what I call the "waffle" icon in the top right corner and tell them everyithing is accesible from there.

Anyone been in a similar situation? We have a Prowise interactive screen that is not booting up to the PC module and will not let me see anything onscreen. I cant even bring up the settings or input menu. Screen stays black but you can see the back light is on. Power light is blue but nothing else is possible. Im wondering if it is a hardware issue. Hi all, Anyone had this situation? We use Google Drive and have an Office Shared drive. All accessed via Google Chrome. Our office team know that there is a file called "attendance" in a folder named 2022-2023. If they browse to the folder the file is not there. If they search Google Drive for the file directly, it then appears. You can then view details and see it is in that 2022-2023 folder. Once you click the folder, it then appears in there. This happens for many different files. Not just this one. It's like it isnt there but then is there. Anyone have any ideas whats happening? Thankyou.

We will shortly be replacing our Printers with updated versions from the same company. Currently our printers are allocated via GPO's so users have access to the set of printers. I'm trying to figure out the quickest way to set everything up. As I am replacing current printers, Can I just use the same IP addresses I used for the old printers for the new printers and then go on to the server and just update the print drivers to the new printer drivers? Or is it a little more complex than that? Thanks.

Yeah what I want to do is essentially download all the apps once onto a local device such as a Mac and then all the iPads install apps from there isntead of throttling the Internet bandwidth and getting stuck.

Hi all, Has anyone created a server for installing iPad apps as whenever I configure my iPads with Mosyle, they then all start downloading the apps and throttle the connection resulting in some giving up and half the apps not downloading. I'm sure I heard about a cache server or something where they can get the apps locally instead? Anyone done it and know how its done? Many thanks.

We've been using Hikvision systems for a while and I find them well built. If you do have security concerns put them on a locked down isolated network.

I think the reason people have stuck with Sims for so long is that they've been told to do things in a certain way and it's been passed down from one staff memember to the next. Once somneone has been trained to do things one way they just keep going. I do think Sims needs a re-think. It seems to constantly just have little bits and updates added here and there. There is always an issue somewhere. It could do with a complete makover, leaving older things behind and bringing newer needed features to the table.

Many thanks for all your replies. Much appreciated. So I've just been into Chrome and it has been used without signing in. So all bookmarks, passwords, etc are on the computer, not in the account. If I try to sign in I then get a new Chrome window that is Syncd but ofcourse has nothing in the account. Is there a way I can sign in and sync but take all the bookmarks and passwords etc that are currently on the person1 account sitting on the laptop?

Can you sync if you've previously not syncd?

Hi all, What is the best way to backup a users Google Chrome passwords? I can export the bookmarks but they want their saved passwords too as moving to a new laptop. Thankyou.
