  1. Sounds good. I had a spare RaspberryPi and then got a receiver and aerial online for about £20. Might upgrade the aerial to get better range at some point.
  2. Hi all, Anyone here track fights? I've recently set up an ADSB receiver using an old RaspberryPi. It was very simple to setup and I now contribute flight data to Flightradar24 for flights aound my area. Anyone else do this? It is great as you are contributing and in return you get a full subsciption too.
  3. Right, you've all made me very hungry now. Time to seek out these great things!
  4. Can't beat a chicken and stuffing. I think it would be briliant if they invented a Yorkshire pudding which would be stuffed with chicken, stuffing, the whole works inside it. You'd get it hot with a side of gravy dipping sauce. Now, that would be awesome!
  5. Just a quick bump... Does the above seem like it would work. Login as admin, this will let me pull the drivers down, then it is sorted for all other users? Thankyou.
  6. Thinking about it.... If printers areinstalled to machine so computer based GPO, if I login as an admin, it should install the drivers, and then be fine for everyone else right?
  7. I've got my printers currently via User config, Policies, Deployed Printers. From what I read online it works if done via Preferences instead of policies and then Control Pnael, and Printers. Ayone can confirm that? Thankyou.
  8. I give it a year before this is axed too. Though I guess it's a cheap show to produce and theyve got the back catalogue too.
  9. Yes, this is what I used to have, deployed to the user. But the lates tWindows updates break this. I wondered if deploying to machine instead helped or if there is a better option. I was looking at this: https://rdr-it.com/en/troubleshooting/kb5005033-allow-non-administrators-to-install-printer-drivers/
  10. Hi everyone, So next week I have new printers coming and I’m fearing I’m going to be faced with Wibdows10 update printing problems. I’ve already seen our latest updated windows machines not picking up the user printer GPO’s. Can someone point me through the best and easiest way to get my printers installed where I won’t face any problems such as the admin rights needed for driver install. I used to have printers set via user configuration GPO. Would assigning to computer work instead? I’ve heard mixed into. Do I need to go down the changing administration reg settings and can I do this in a GPO? Or does each machine need doing individually ? I read something about point and print restrictions. We don’t use any print management software. Just all printers accessible to all. What’s the best way to do this? If anyone has a step by step it would be very much appreciated. Thankyou very much.
  11. So if we deploy in computer configuration instead of user, does it still not work?
  12. Thanks everyone. This is happening on 16:9 screens. I will have a go at updating the driver.
  13. Hi all, Has anyone experienced Google Chrome randomly losing the top half of the screen including the menu bar? It just goes black. Only way I've found as a fix right now if to press F11 to go full screen and then F11 again to return to Window. This removes the black and we are back in business. It is getting fustrating. Not sure what is causing it. Seems very random. Thankyou.
  14. Good point. I will go for the latest one that supports the version of Windows10 we run.
  15. Many thanks LeMarchand. Has anyone had any problems adding the latest Windows11 ADMX templates and has it disrupted any of your current settings? Thankyou.
  16. Hi all, I'm looking through my Global Policies and can see several things missing. Obviously there are newer ADMX templates that reflect the new Winodws 10 features. So.... 1) How do I backup my current GPO's to be on the safe side. 2) Do I just dowlnoad the latest Windows ADMC template? I assume these will also have Windows11 features too? Is that ok to bring it in? Many thanks in advance.
  17. Thankyou everyone. Good info.
  18. Just doing a bit of tidying up in Group Policy and noticed I don't have the Windows Time Service configured or configured an NTP server. Do you have one setup or do you just let your mahcines do their own thing? Whats the best way to control time to all machines on domain? Thanks.
  19. Did you get this sorte din the end?
  20. That looks half Dalek, Half Minion.
  21. I keep all batteries in a big metal box that can contain a fire.
  22. Buy a NAS instead?
  23. Thankyou everyone. So it turned out that in the end she wanted to have TWO of the puppies! Talk about jumping in the deep end! So I talked things over last night and finally she is seeing sense. Really upset which is understandable. I think she just fell in love with them and over thought the whole thing. In the end the conclusions were: - We are a busy family and don't have time for more. - Costs are going up all round so it would be a big additional expense. - Can't guarentee to be around everyday in the house. - I'm not willing to let the dog free roam the whole house, be in the kitchen, etc which would end up happening. - We have rabbits that would be scared of a dog. - Never had a dog before so havent even trialed it. Too big a move to make in one go. - More cleaning to do, poop to pick up - Just finished renovating house: Most likely will get damaged. - They bark at anything and drive you mad / the neighbourhood mad. - They can be unpredictable around children as much as they can be great for children. - They can smell. - Problem finding someone to keep them when away on holidays. - Everything that everyone else has mentioned. Case closed. No dog coming to my house.
  24. It's been happening since August. Let's hope for a fix soon as so far nothing is being done.
