Daemon Tools lite is the best in my experience (and it's free)

We have a Panasoninc KX-CL500 colour printer here, the waste toner was full yesterday and a new one is hard to get ahold of being 8 Years old so I decided to empty it myself. After emptying it I've put it back in but the printer is still saying "WT FULL" and won't print. I've looked through the printer menus and you can't reset the timer on the waste toner, I've also tried a factory reset with no luck. The wierd part is that the waster toner itself has no electronic chip to tell the printer it's full - its all mechanical so I'm puzzled as to how the printer is reporting it as full even after emptying it Lee

Moving from CC3 to CC4 in Summer 2011...

I have searched but I wanted people with experiences with the particular systems I listed. I can't find many recent threads on these so it would be useful to us. -
Moving from CC3 to CC4 in Summer 2011...
BassTech posted a topic in Network and Classroom Management
We currently have CC3 in School which the users are using and we also had CC4 installed next to it so we can slowly configure and test it ready for rolling out in the Summer. I just wanted people's experiences with doing this and any problems that they faced with particular pieces of software, hardware etc... Here are what systems we currently have: SIMS Frog Securus Sanako digital lab Has anyone faced any problems with these systems and CC4 or CC4 in general? -
Thanks gaz350, very helpful!

Thanks for the info, that's very useful and we have to do a survey, it's part of our "performance management"

Hi, We are creating a survey for Staff and Students through our VLE and I'm looking for some suggestions on what to ask. Basically we are trying to find out if they are happy with the service they receive and the equipment around School, if anyone has done this before and could provide a template to start with that would be really useful Lee

I'm not really sure, just poked around in the BIOS, it picked it up eventually

I get no post message, the PC boots as normal (I can hear windows 7 load) The card is in the PCI-E slot with 2 PCI-E power connections

Well, the new PSU worked!!! now posting from the beast Now a quick question, the monitor only displays an image when the GFX card is unplugged, when i plug it in I get no screen from either the onboard or the card its self any ideas?
-
Hmm... I may remove the fan and re-paste it. The new PSU just came so I'll try that at first when I get home and I can't run any tests, it doesn't power on! but when I get it running again I shall test it to the ground

There was quite a lot of thermal paste on the CPU, maybe a touch too much. Can too much cause it to power off?

It's this one - OCZ GameXStream 850W PSU - Silent 120mm Blue LED Fan.. | Ebuyer.com

I've done that and still no power. Personally, I think the power pack has blown because it was under too much stress.

Ironically, I was in the process of downloading this when it powered off I Haven't been able to turn it on since, however I checked the BIOS on first boot up and all the temps were fine, my new 850w PSU is coming tomorrow so hopefully that will bring the beasty back to life

Hi, I've just completed my new build and here are the specs: Asus GTX470 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-E Graphics Card Samsung HD103SJ 1TB Hard Drive - 7200rpm 32MB Cache (SATA) 8GB (4x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz RAM @ 1.65v AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.8GHz 9MB Cache (AM3) Powercool 550W PSU Asus M4A785TD-V EVO 785G Motherboard Arctic Cooling CPU Freezer 7 Pro Samsung SH-B083L 8x Blu-Ray player Windows 7 Ultimate x64 The PC just randomly powers off, even when doing simple tasks such as browsing the net. I had to wait about 1 minute and then I could turn it back on but now it won't power on at all. I have tried taking out the graphics card and RAM but still no power. The motherboard has a green light so there is some power getting through. All the fans work fine as well. I think that the 550W PSU may not be capable of running my spec so I've ordered an 850W one. Is there anything I can try in the meantime to power my PC on? Many thanks, Lee

Hi, We are a secondary school with 230 workstations - all networked as RM CC3. We are currently investigating whether to move to a standard vanilla network with Windows 7 or stick with RM and go CC4. The easiest option seems to be RM CC4 as there are only two of us in the department - Me (the technician) and the Network manager. Has anyone moved from CC3 to Vanilla? What kind of work was involved? We are thinking of using a consultancy company to help us with the initial install, migration of users, exchange e.t.c. so if anyone has any recommendations that would be useful. We have a Year to do this so we are thinking of setting up a new vanilla domain with windows server 2008 and a few workstations to test policies, software on e.t.c. It would be really helpful if you could share your personal experiences, costs and the time to migrate from CC3 to vanilla (or CC4) as we are currently at the stages of deciding which road to go down. Thanks Lee

I've added the keyword youtube to netsweeper which seems to have worked. I did add YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. but I read there are subdomains that need unblocking so adding the keyword has unblocked these

Hi, I am trying to access YouTube but I'm getting the following error: http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/3120/ie7errorbox.jpg This happens in both IE7 and IE8, I have tried the obvious things - Updated flash and java, javascript is enabled. Has anyone got anything which I can try to solve this? Here is a screenshot of what YouTube looks like itself: http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/9035/ie7error2.jpg Thanks PS - It works in firefox but I need it working on IE7/IE8 as all our workstations here are IE.
