  1. Nope, the PC version of IV ran like a pig as well, so V may be pretty bad too. I have these specs and IV still runs slow! AMD x6 Cores @ 2.8 GHz Geforce GTX 470 8GB DDR3 RAM 1TB HDD @ 7200rpm
  2. I found out that students are blocked from running scripts by default on CC4 - Enable this in the RMMC and it works BUT we are not going to do this as it's too much of a security risk.
  3. Went shopping in Birmingham city centre on Saturday, there was a "religious" group protesting against this video outside the bullring.... I can tell you 90% of people just laughed at how pathetic it was and walked passed... The video was made in the USA - not in England/Birmingham! so why protest there? No other reason than an excuse to start trouble IMO.
  4. I don't care what anyone says, NOTHING justifies the killing innocent civilians. They are sick, twisted people - nothing more, nothing less.
  5. Me too Great Barr FC
  6. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone on here for all the support over the last Year, have a good summer everyone whether you're working or not!

  8. What's the computer on the floor for? haha
  9. Nope, still got the same thing...
  10. No, we are not running a local build server. We are running Java 6, also tried Java 7 with the same results. Yes we have installed the android emulator software but it has made no difference Lee
  11. Also, this is what the Java debug console logs: And then nothing happens.
  12. How are you building the workstation? We used to use floppy disks, once we re-created the build disk on a new floppy it fixed this problem.
  13. Site is offline for now: "Our system is currently experiencing an extraordinary level of traffic. Please bear with us."
  14. I've updated Java, which now shows an error message as to why it's failing: App Inventor for Android Blocks Editor MIT Center for Mobile Learning App Inventor for Android Blocks Editor JNLPException[category: Security Error : Exception: null : LaunchDesc: App Inventor for Android Blocks Editor MIT Center for Mobile Learning App Inventor for Android Blocks Editor http://beta.appinventor.mit.edu:80/ode2/webstartfile/ 125_d72c6vqyl6k0ayok2g5bgwodgsg22hbxi4x8cqjazma568kg9ec1gt5dwm1vwpdx8ilv77epartu511h4u5wxemwajqg7c4zavr9kb7d3jo8gnoclw2u2zzhbu24dngbbz83ckamid/ ] at com.sun.javaws.security.JNLPSignedResourcesHelper.checkSignedResourcesHelper(Unknown Source) at com.sun.javaws.security.JNLPSignedResourcesHelper.checkSignedResources(Unknown Source) at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.prepareResources(Unknown Source) at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.prepareAllResources(Unknown Source) at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.prepareToLaunch(Unknown Source) at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.prepareToLaunch(Unknown Source) at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.launch(Unknown Source) at com.sun.javaws.Main.launchApp(Unknown Source) at com.sun.javaws.Main.continueInSecureThread(Unknown Source) at com.sun.javaws.Main$1.run(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) http://beta.appinventor.mit.edu:80/ode2/webstartfile/ 125_d72c6vqyl6k0ayok2g5bgwodgsg22hbxi4x8cqjazma568kg9ec1gt5dwm1vwpdx8ilv77epartu511h4u5wxemwajqg7c4zavr9kb7d3jo8gnoclw2u2zzhbu24dngbbz83ckamid/ Any ideas?
  15. Ah, that's where I was going wrong, I thought just running NovaSatelliteSettup.exe updated it - had forgotten about the other install file that needs to be run! Thanks!
  16. Thanks, we are using a standalone laptop which is still on Version 6.23, Build 17 - How do I update this as it's not in the domain?
  17. Could someone tell me what the latest version of Nova T6 is please? We are on: Version 6.23, Build 17.
  18. We can prevent sites from needing authentication, but we have to reboot the server everytime we add a site to the list, which is a pain! Will have to come in early and try it, will post results.
  19. Thing is, why would it work for our administrator account? We only use the "Default" policy which is used by both staff, students and administrators - which makes me think that it's nothing to do with our proxy server. I would try it, but with RM SmartCache 2 you have to reboot the server every time you add an exception to the proxy authentication list which takes the internet offline for around 15 minutes...
  20. We use RM SmartCache 2. We cannot edit the default groups that RM have set up. I've noticed that there is one called "RM Proxy Bypass List" - Wondering if *.mit.edu needs to be added to here?
  21. Try removing any codec packs you have, I've know them to cause problems with WMM before...If you don't have any codec packs try installing K-Lite codec pack as, stangely, this has fixed some of my WMM woes in the past. Good luck! Also look for any clips that are "muted" - If there are any untick the mute box and just drag the volume slider to the bottom. Random I know but it's worked for me before.
  22. Tried making a test user a local admin, same thing. It's not filtering because our filter policy is the same for admins and normal users plus the web address is in our "allowed" list of websites. I'm not sure if it writes to the registry, I've tried running procmon and had an in-depth look but couldn't pick out anything that is being blocked for normal users..
  23. I've looked at the local permissions, even giving normal users full access to C:\ as a test but still no luck
  24. We are trying to use MIT App Inventor in School: http://beta.appinventor.mit.edu/ It works fine as an Administrator but when trying it as a normal user, clicking on the "Open the Blocks Editor" button nothing happens, the same if we save the "AppInventorForAndroidCodeblocks.jnlp" - nothing happens when we try and open it. We beleive this is a permissions error that's being set somewhere in group policy, but we cannot find anything which would be blocking it from running. We have tried IE8, IE9 and firefox all with the same outcome and various versions of Java on different computers... Any ideas? Edit: We are running Windows 7 Professional SP1 computers on a RM CC4 network.
  25. Ah ok, thanks for that. Why can't facebook just make things simple and straight-forward???
