Still got this flaming issue - clearly something to do with my domain as other users of Office 2010 on Server 2008 domains using Windows 7 clients don't have a problem with. Why every other component of Office 2010 works perfectly yet Word plays up is what's totally got me puzzled?

It's a green light and the latest version of the software.

I'm looking for a pointer to how to start using the Raspberry Pi -right from basics - like what you connect to it and then how to do things with it?

Had a couple of instances today where SmartBoard tray pens have gone inactive - nothing obvious gone wrong is this a known defect. The boards are circa 5 years old.

About 18 months ago I bought a Kodak ESP315 C inkjet printer for home use - on the strength of the advert they were running back then (before they went into receivership) about having the best cost per page. Sadly that's not been my experience. The cartridges are fine on first use but the colours have faded come to use it a week or so later and then in no time the darned things are showing as empty again. No fairies in the house doing printing overnight but it's like as if the ink is evaporating?

We have some 23 inch screen i3 processor end Lenovo all in ones. So far so good - apart from a few times the hard drives don't seem too happy and have needed to run check disk before booting.

I have an EE Bright Box for wireless at home. I have three printers connected to it. One wireless shows up on the status page but two LAN connected, although showing as steady green lights on the Bright Box LAN display and printing out IP addresses which correspond with those the printer printout pages tell me should be in the settings (and are reserved in the Advance Settings DHCP by MAC) fail to show up in the connected devices nor are available by typing the IP address into the Explorer Bar. EE Support are no help! Both printers come up on corresponding computers by IP address and set up ok but then show as offline.

We have Impero and in my opinion it's worth every penny we pay for it. Linked to applying control to student clients through Sophos EM we seem to have at last tied most things down that needed tying down.

Just checked (some numpty yes me) did have it plugged into a surge protector but rep lugging it direct to the mains and checking the cable the darned thing continues to switch itself off and on again all the time.

What thee flipping thing is doing is it's switching on and going through it's initialisation tests then just after it gets to the 'ready' stage it reboots itself and starts the initialisation all over again. Clearly it needs to be rerturned to Samsung which is a pain and will leave us eithout a fax till it's fixed. Anyone got other suggestions please?

We have a Samsung CLX-4195FN which serves as the fax machine and printer for our reception desk. It's relatively new and does a good job apart from the fact that recently after switching it comes up as ready but then it keeps initalising every few minutes?

Is it a branded machine - in the past I found Dell Server Support superb - even when the actual server was just out of warranty.

Does GiffGaff have any specific restrictions outside the UK my Y10 daughter is soon to go on an exchange to Spain and is currently using a very old mobile on PAYG and currently rarely needs a top up of more than a tenner every 6 months but she is keen to buy herself a Nokia 620 and use that as her PAYG.

Yep happened to me in my former school. I was actually made redundant with an option of take a higher payment if I accepted redundancy or a lower one if they had to force me! My union were very helpful but I really do wonder at the logic or otherwise of replacing in house staff with a company which is after all doing the work because they want to make profit out of it not doing it for the good of the community. We live in a crazy world.

We have a few HP 360 printers and on one heavily used machine the paper tray has developed a fault where the self raiser isn't working properly so even though the tray is loaded the machine reports it's empty. I have swapped it over with a tray from a slightly newer model of the same machine and that's working fine. The older tray is slack in the newer machine and again refuses to print. Anyone know where I can pick up a cheap replacement tray please?

I have never found other than exemplary service from Net-Ctrl. Seems there must have been a misunderstanding as James said earlier.

We have a couple of long range portable telephones that are faulty and out of warranty. They are the EnGenius 801 models and one can't be heard and the other you can't hear from! Can anyone recommend a reliable good value repairer please?

I received a call from a BT Marketing chap this morning telling me SWGfL were putting their prices up and BT were interested in competing for their business. Anyone know what the score there is - we certainly haven't heard anything about a price hike from SWGfL yet?

I'm trying to diagnose the fault with a HP Pavilion Slimline Desktop - OS Windows Vista Home Premium. It powers up ok but nothing else happens - no beeps or anything. What's the thought here - motherboard perhaps? If so probably not worth doing anything about it I suppose?

Thanks @Duke5A It was installed with an Administrator logged on - being a school we don't allow any other users to install software. Is there any way around this?
