Ah so the IOS 7.0.0 that was recently launched has been replaced by IOS 7.0.2 already. Maybe that would account for why my iPad suddenly burst into song this morning

My woopsie! Had a bit of a nap since and can see I just repeated your link!

Good answer here: How to Disable function "Show Character" in wireless connection?

That'll be the one! Best I set up a trial account perhaps so I have an idea of father quirks likely to be thrown up.

We are on the SWGFL 'list' to migrate from RM Easymail Plus to Office 365 for our e-mail services. Apparently there is a glitch currently with the migration which if migrated would result in some user accounts loosing messages they currently have stored in their various Easymail folders. My question is we have recently 'shared' an address book amongst staff. I'm not familiar with Office 365 but is there an ability within it to share an address book?

Anyone here encounter difficulties playing video files with Airserver - if so how did you work around it? -
We started down the Apple TV route but for the reason you are encountering amongst others stopped and went with the Superb AirServer - Most advanced AirPlay receiver for Mac and PC which gave us a one off Educational site licence for something like £50. Easy to set up and it works a dream.

Best ask Sophos on 08447674670 I reckon. I always find them incredibly helpful.

Just got in from work to receive a call from a retired friend 'can you just have a look at our computer, my wife did something to it earlier and I can't find most my files now'. Not a problem though as that's what friends are for, just hope I can actually help when I get there!

At this stage in WSUD how do I set about Blocking IE10? Ours is currently set to Automatically apply all Security & Critical updates and I fear that MS are shortly going to be sending out IE10 under this heading and I can't find anywhere to specify not deploying it?

My contract is for under 20 hours a week term time. Small school, 2 servers but a total of close to 200 client machines. Web site, MIS, planning new kit etc - I'm also constantly doing work stuff. Trouble seems to be no one seems to have much idea of what I 'actually' do and many think I'm there just to tend their needs when they have problems. Mind MS releasing iffy updates so frequently don't help do they!

I try and keep our Dell Servers covered by warranty. Well worth the money to access the superb Dell Server Support; usually straight through to someone with a delightful Irish lilt and a ability to fix even the simplest Server issue without making me feel like a total mullet!

Yes thanks @DaveP and I even managed to get allocating usernames and passwords to one of our Admin staff as a huge bonus.

IE 10 and Content Advisor

We have a WSUS server but it's not something I have a huge knowledge of. Over the past coup,e of months I haven't had updates seeking approval - clearly something I need to investigate. However, updates are getting pushed out? -
IE 10 and Content Advisor

I had some computers come in with Windows 7 with IE10 preinstalled as well. Ended up removing IE10 and replacing it with IE9. Even then after updates the Proxy for IE was not getting picked up and I had to go into Group Policy and reinsert the proxy details in IE8 settings - that seems to have worked. However, I notice that the latest MS updates include IE10 as a default. I have un-ticked where I have seen it but I find it very annoying that MS has released IE10 before it's network compatible! -
My wife's aged Packard Bll laptop has given up the ghost and she now wants to get something to replace it that's suitable for her needs. Ideally, she wants a handheld with a keyboard and something that's friendly for anyone computer phobic. Low budget! Uses: e-mail, web surfing, probably accessing Sky Drive to take advantage of free Office Programmes as she runs a ballroom dance business and does a bit of Admin for a rowing club. Recommendations would be welcome.

Not sure why you have posted this on Edugeek. - it's an IT Forum? However, one thing immediately springs to mind and that's the fact you shouldn't be sharing a room with your sister. If I were you and I wanted to stay at home I'd be talking to Social Services but on the other hand can see that doing so wouldn't be a good step for securing a lasting future relationship with your dad. Seek advice from Citizens Advice would probably be a good first step.

Yep, that was it. Got on a 'real' computer and it's all there.

Must be my iPad - No Top menu displayed, just the log in box and an option to view the latest news. Interestingly when Googling My Maths I noticed several. Utube workaround videos!
-
I think you probably do but I can't see where you get it from?

How do you set up student user accounts with MyMaths - Bringing Maths Alive I can't see any way of contacting their Admin as all their URLs seem to go straight to the log on screen?

We have an out of warranty Smart UF55 projector that apparently has an iffy chip in it now. Thoughts are on replacing it with something new. Been quoted close on £2K for replacement with a UF75 installed. That seems a heap high to me. Anyone in the Wiltshire area recommend another supplier who might be able to supplying fit a decent bit of kit as a replacement please?

BBC Sport - Kimi Raikkonen set to join Fernando Alonso at Ferrari Groan this would be a great move for my hero Kimi I suspect and for Ferari but somehow I think a bad move for F1 where Kimi's cheeky chappie personality makes Lotus the interesting rebel team it has become.
