One of the schools I visit uses aqa.org.uk they could access it but when they logged into the secure site extranet.aqa.org.uk, it just timed out when trying to access the important exam bits.

anybody's else Sophos console not been updating recently?
-
Hi when running the sophos console 5.1 upgrade from 4.5, it asks for a port, there default is 80, does this need changing? Or just keep as 80? Thanks
-
We started using it a few a months ago(so early days yet), not sure it reduces the amount of paperwork, but the teacher has found it useful to use within school day and record as they go along.
-
Our school is looking at getting one, we started the online application form about 2 weeks ago, I keep contacting them regarding queries I have but they take their time getting back to you. And yes the display meter does requires network access.

We have one in our school, cannot fault it! Bit expensive though!

Just got phone call to say BT have cancelled appointment for this week, and will come out another day. I did ask why we needed an extra line, something to do with us not getting the 10mb connection with three lines they put in, so an extra line is required.
-
they didnt say. Will find out next week though.
-
we had three lines put in the last September, and BT are coming out again next week to put another one in!

yeh rm/or Lightbox Education just provided a msi for the serial no. And we just deployed the textease msi and the serial no. msi through Group policy to all clients. Havent applied any updates as of yet. Dont know about you but a 2nd Cd called Resources was also provided, which they advised to install locally, which we did. Hope that helps?
-
we contacted Texttease support, they emailed back within a day msi for the serial number/key.

thanks for help and advice, it ran the chkdsk on restart and seems to have sorted it.....will hold my breath though.

HI, we have a server running 2003, coming back from xmas break yesterday and it was turned off, this was left on before I left. Anyway looks like the UPS failed(working fine now) during the break, anyway turned server on etc, and running fine, until this morning when people started reporting that certain files will not open as they are corrupt, I thought this was an isolated incident until I looked through the event log and see these errors being reported, The error is followed by the same log error message and it says "The file system structure on the disk is corrupt and unusable. Please run the chkdsk utility on the volume Data." on each log entry. I used the chkntfs command to check the drives and did confirm 2 of 3 the drives(C: and E: Data) were dirty? Also an odd thing is that I can see certain and open files, but other people cannot see them, I presume related to the same problem. I am unsure on how to proceed now? any suggestion or help? regards
