ManageEngine products are great, I want to go down the route of using OpManager to manage the switches in the long run. We use many of their other products so makes far more sense.

Some depending how far you are out with will need firmware in the middle before you can go to the next step. We found when we did all our switches recently that was the issue.

We use PRTG. Can monitor if they are on or offline, plus port monitors shows if ports haven't been used in x period of days, probably not so much of an issue in schools but we can identify when our engineers haven't unpatched and the switch is full we can guide them in what can be safely unpatched. Monitors traffic and by port too.

A slight variation to the above, if I have a list of equipment with a date and the cost associated in one sheet, on another if I select that piece of equipment and put a date in can I get it to bring the price in if that fits between the date? So I select my piece of equipment that is in C2, I put the date in D2 of when I am issuing it and in J2 it returns the cost. In another sheet I have date-start,date-end,equipment,cost Might need to put the equipment as first column but that is not an issue. So the overall aim would be to populate the cost when valid to the piece of equipment been issued based on the pricing in the other sheet that way the true value of what equipment was purchased for it kept.

Could you not install Chromium on them? In order to get a quick login, you can use Kiosk type mode, we have it for a number of login's where its limited in what is needed.

Experience I've had in the a SOHO environment has been poor, I would go with the other more established companies, its rebranded for a start in one of their products they have bought out over the years.

That number for that amount you are asking for trouble, you will be better buying a smaller number of better quality and not regretting it later in life.

Thanks, that seems to do what I need, need to do a bit more work but think I can do what I need with that.

Imagine you have a list of dates and you enter readings and figure is generated based on the previous figure. You then have another sheet with a date from and date to (might need to change this and use based on rows) then 2 figures can you enter the date on the first sheet then look up the second and if its in between them dates use the figure there to do a calculation? Question is what formula would I need as the one I have used in the past for something slightly similar doesn't work in the way I want.

I have a QNAP TS-420, had it a few years but serves the purpose I need. The 4 drives are in RAID 5, so 8TB in total (give or take) but 5.43TB useable. I could replace all 4 drives at once and spend days copying data back but plan would be to do 1 at a time.

One of the four disks in my NAS at home has failed or is on its way out. They are 2 TB WD drives (none NAS). My plan is to replace with WD red's, if I put in a 4TB and let it rebuild and then 1 by 1 swap them out for 4's can you see any issue?

Look for Sharp Business Systems at Wakefield. Have a look for Sharp dealers too as depending on the size of them can do better deals that Sharp direct! Also note that even if you do deal with Sharp direct you may end up been serviced by a dealer in the area so might be worth seeing who is near to you.

I have done similar with a printer, office space it was in I was limited and could not run additional cabling. Do run a PC off one here in my test environment as its easier than plugging a switch in when I only need 1 port.

We've had a battering here on the coast but come off quite lightly compared to some areas. I went up to York area yesterday and en route only saw a few trees down. Had snow up there yesterday dinner but it was so wet so didn't settle, today has been a bit calmer till the rain come and there has been some localised flooding so its been quite cold and damp out there.

Wind has picked up here in last few hours but nothing major. Had to get jobs completed before 1330 before they closed the bridge and go the long way around, that's now closed so the other roads will be chaos now that motorway is closed. Best be clear and open in morning, I got things to do!

I've worked with both but would personally pick Sharp every day of the week. We've got 40 of them, the user UI is far more user friendly that Toshiba. They would be my top 2 with Sharp been number 1.

Firstly get a copy of the message header of one of the said messages and analyse it. Secondly when you add a contact it will create an alias of [email protected] (for example) so in theory it would look as if they had a corporate address and someone may have guessed the email unless that address has been used in the past? Things in the past worked like that in Exchange, although cannot say I've looked at O365 from that side as had no need to but worth checking what SMTP addresses are on the account.

We use Lenovo P24h monitors, they also act as USB C docks, one cable into a laptop and it does the whole log, also can link them together and use 1 cable to plug in.

We use Service Desk Plus from Manage Engine. One of the best service desk platforms I've used in 15 years. We don't use it for half of what it can do but sounds ideal for what is needed.

Prices are here. I've done the course, I've used Unifi for ages and know what I need to prior the course. I'm not great in a classroom and after 2 days my head was pounding, it does into WiFi more than you would probably need to know but its a good course. Make sure you study the document sent out before, get your head around it as the exam covers lots of the technical stuff. I will say that resits are free but you need to pay for an hour to cover time if you need to redo the best, something my place wouldn't do but I'm not fussed about it.

I tethered one of ours to a phone and still had the issue as that is what we thought was happening with ours at first but soon ruled that out.

I would keep a print server on site, reduce what you are sending when its all local data.

I point our PaperCut at 2 or 3 OU's and only 1 security group as it works. I did try to have a group to do it all from but it really didn't like it. Even worse when it groups within groups.

We guest file index all our windows servers, Linux not as we get a few issues. Some servers its just easy to restore the VM and pull the file off that way, we use files more on our file servers than others think the only time files and folders get restored on the majority of application ones are when doing testing! All depends on your needs and do you have access to restore a full VM if needed?
