Is anyone using Debian to host a Unifi Controller and secondly have you put a wildcard certificate on to secure it?

PaperCut wins hands down over many of the other products and they are keeping up to date where many of other haven't. The other thing with PaperCut cut is that you are not tired to a specific vendor and you can change your copiers and you don't end up reconfiguring everything other than print queues. PaperCut all day long for me, wish their licensing was more kind to be like it is now back in the day and I would of been using it 15 years as apposed to the 10 now.

Setting up VPN with Unifi USG Pro 4
MatthewL replied to hallb15's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Have you created an inbound firewall rule to allow it to access from external? -
You can block VPN but if there are regular ones i.e. Council & NHS that are needed but an exception in to allow access to that IP rather than allowing to all VPN's.

YouTube plenty of videos on there. To be honest them HP printers are quite easy to work on. Silly question have you removed tray 2 and tried it without that on? The laminated piece of paper is a good idea, not thought of that before. When it jams can you see how far the paper gets, so if it jams if you open the compartment at the back is it all the way in, or if you remove the toner is it in that section? If you slowly remove the piece of paper is there marks on the paper like its hit something or does it come out in 1 piece?

AoVPN is the way forward.

Glad you got it sorted.

As above, I had previous customers that were on old versions, you just cannot upgrade till you are in maintenance and I would always recommending keeping up to date within a few minor versions rather than big jumps. I do mine over a dinnertime all of maybe 10 or 15 minutes to do with a backup of the database. Do you not get your PaperCut via your MFD seller?

I used this site or similar to create one for when friends come around, the only thing that I have spotted it that they can see the details on some phones before joining but its a quick easy way. If it was me in a corporate/school environment I would be using a captivate portal for authentication.

Those printers seem to be the modern LaserJet 4 never encountered any issues, usually cleaning rollers with alcohol based helps. Silly question have you tried different paper? I've seen paper that is damp although not to the touch, recycled paper is also rubbish on then, does manual feed work ok? The tray's/draws haven't been swapped over have they as some will only work in 1 or the other and I cannot remember on that model.

Mixture of both DirectAccess & Always on VPN (migration in progress), computer based tunnel, domain joined devices, all they need is an internet connection weather wired or wifi at home or tethered same experience away from the office where ever they are working, usual AD credentials, all laptops request bitlocker pin on startup, over 80% of our users are mobile workers anyway.

As ShellfishClive said set that I set mine as domain.tld and it will work providing DNS is set. Do it as a matter of course on all printers now where I can.

Does your service desk software not have this? We use ManageEngine Service Desk Plus and we can have all our calls in there plus projects too.

USG's are not suitable for business needs or anything advance. You can create jsons but if/when it reprovisions it wipes them. I'd cut your losses and replace, even if its a PC with pfsense on its better than a USG in my opinion. I would not run my network on one, I've got a few at satellite sites and have nothing but issues slowly trying to swap them out.

[ms office - 2016] Excel formula - is this even possible?

Ah works now, I know where I went wrong with that, again CTRL, ALT & Enter and it works. Cheers -
[ms office - 2016] Excel formula - is this even possible?
MatthewL replied to MatthewL's topic in Office Software
The above worked if I entered it with CTRL, SHIFT & ENTER forget the name for that. Also costs needed to be sorted by start date and equipment for it to work. Thanks for that I think I can work with that. Any idea how get values from vertical to horizontal? -
We use MyCompliance MetaCompliance. Get an email when one is due, login and then read and accept at the bottom. Not the best product I've used but not the worst.

Thanks I will take a look. Yes I know that is an option, luckily there is only a few accounts on there and not a ton of attempts just want to make things that bit more secure.

Can you point me in the direction where to go for this in the control panel?

Is the proxy disabled on the printer? PaperCut MF - Brother Embedded Manual-2018-02-08.pdf This is from a few years ago, its the embedded guide for Brother, it's not a manufacturer I've had any dealings with on PaperCut but see if that is of any help.

Uniform.xlsxUniform.xlsx I will explain what I want to happen. Maybe not the way to do this but I need a simple solution for a simple person! The workbook will open on the summary sheet each time using a macro then you can select what you want. Staff will contain a list of staff members and their ID number which will then be used for a drop down in the issue log. Lists is for the drop downs. Costs will include the date from and when certain items cost and its value. Stock new and used are to enter stock levels of equipment. Stock total is a sum of the other 2. Issue log is where the main work will happen, you will select number from drop down it will then populate the name, select equipment type, the date, size, qty issued, reason from the list, cost would then be calculated based on date and cost sheet, finally select which stock used. The summary will then total the equipment and stock, just looking for an easy way to bring the staff numbers over left to right from the staff list, ideally I'd like a column in staff list if they are active or not then update the populated list based on that, if not I will swap equipment and staff over. It's mainly the costs I'm struggling with then once that is done I will put a column in the staff list to show who is costing the most. Bit of a favour to a mate, but needs to be easy to manage once the formula's are all in place so he can just add staff, equipment and costs and I can format nicely for him. Hope that makes sense any questions ask. -
I use O365 at home and was reviewing my account this morning and checking for login's, there are a number of hits from the same address in Russia. MFA is now enabled on my account for some reason I didn't have it on but on the base Exchange package can I do anything to restrict IP access or not?

Have you had a look on the PaperCut KB?
