I'm a millennial, and I think I like marmalade, but I haven't tried it in ages and I haven't really thought about it, if I'm honest... Always been more of a strawberry jam kind of person anyway!

I played one - Admittedly, I was part of the problem as I didn't have my mic connected to my Xbox - But it was utter chaos! They kept on running headfirst into trouble by themselves, not really combining our abilities, getting downed etc... I had a good number of revives! I might give it another go soon. After all, I'm running out of things I can do on my own, and I wouldn't mind getting better stuff!

That's terrible! Sorry to hear... I will certainly think about joining! At the moment, it's more of a thing I play with my mate rather than something I play all the time. But that may change in the future! P.S. Pickle Riiiiick! Watched that ep yesterday.

I've owned this for a while now, but only really played it once before one of my regular gaming friends who we played PUBG with passed away... My mate and I have been playing some first person duos together over the last week. The first person mode is really good, and we both think it's preferable to the third person game. We've made it into the top 10 a couple of times but we're still hungry for a chicken dinner!

Just spent my week off mostly playing Destiny on my Xbox One. I missed out on it when it released and was determined never to play it when I found out they weren't releasing it on PC. Now I have an Xbox a couple of years later, I noticed there was a trial. Started playing that and then got sucked in! I've completed the main storyline and am now level 25. I could've used an item to skip to level 25 instantly when I bought the game, but I didn't see the point of that for someone brand new to the game... I've only played solo, and I generally avoid the multiplayer strikes and such, as no-one from my group of friends play it/own an Xbox. I wasn't considering Destiny 2 at all, despite it definitely releasing on PC this time. Now, I'm thinking about it... Maybe I can get my hardcore PC playing friends to join me this time!

Frontier have just announced Frontier Expo 2017, taking place on the 7th October at the Olympic Park in London. It'll be focused around Elite: Dangerous, Planet Coaster and an as of yet unannounced title. I'm going to try to get a ticket, if I can!

Linkin Park lead singer Chester Bennington has died
DeGrimmy replied to LeMarchand's topic in General Chat
I was never a fan of Linkin Park but it's very sad to see the news. Like Chris Cornell earlier this year, gone way too young. -
I've got the HyperX Cloud 1s, and I'd wholly recommend them because of their durability and sound quality... But the mic quality is pants. I have a lavalier mic (Rode SmartLav+) jury-rigged onto the Cloud mic's boom which I use instead. I used to always use Turtle Beach headsets because of their sound and mic quality, but had to buy a new pair once a year because they're cheap on the materials. I still use the TB in-line amp instead of the one HyperX provided, though!

After buying Crusader Kings II last week when the Steam sale started, I decided last night to have a go at the tutorial level. I've watched other people play it on YouTube, so I'm familiar with its incredibly complex interface and know what to look out for. However, whilst playing the tutorial (which is a normal game once you get past the beginning tutorial section), the monarch died and had no male heirs, leaving his daughter ruling his kingdom. It's much more challenging when your kingdom doesn't recognise your right to rule as much as they would a male heir! (Because, medieval times, innit)

My OnePlus One has been the best Android phone I've ever owned, which might not really be saying much, thinking about my phone history... But I can speak for their quality and longevity. I've had this phone for over 2 years, and apart from the slightly dwindling battery life, it hasn't suffered any slowdown or bloat. It's the first phone I've had that hasn't slowed down after 18 months of use. Although I can see why you're unsure about the OnePlus 5 and its £450 price tag. I think it's still cheaper than other flagship phones, though? They've stopped selling the OnePlus 3T on their website now, which is a bit of a shame as that phone had great reviews and was a fraction cheaper at £400.

You never know, there might be some sort of Shadow of Mordor save import or cross-over in Shadow of War!
-
Both great games I'd highly recommend!

Working here too...

I decided to buy Crusader Kings 2, the 5 year edition with DLCs, for £12.49. I've been watching people on YouTube play it, and it has my interest.
-
£550? Am I missing something? The UK website says "Starting from £449", which I'm guessing is the 6GB RAM cheaper option. Still really quite expensive, though, as tempted as I am. It's a shame, they've drifted from the old "Flagship Killer" mentality of having a viable alternative for a much cheaper price, which drew me in originally with the OP1. I guess it is still cheaper than other flagship spec phones... Sigh. "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain."
-
Ah yes, the 3T had those cases but they're all sold out... Which makes me want one less.
-
See, I wonder if those images show a textured Sandstone Black back a la OP1. I'd much prefer that over a sheer smooth metallic back side!
-
How about Overcooked? It's a silly little 1-4 player game where you have to fulfil food orders with increasing challenges and obstacles. It was the first (and only) thing that popped into my mind. I haven't played it, though. Just heard/seen good things! EDIT: Oh, also Screencheat! A first person silly shooter thing where you can't see anyone so you have to determine where they are by looking at their screens...
-
Damn, they're really quick on discontinuing models! Thanks for the heads up. Seems I have a decision to make sooner rather than later...

Going to resuscitate this thread a little to point out that the OnePlus 5 will be revealed tomorrow at 5pm - https://oneplus.net/uk/launch I'm hoping that, with the launch of the OP5, the 3T might reduce in price! My OP1 still works great, but the lack of OxygenOS updates is making me jumpy... I tried Paranoid Android 6.0.2 this weekend, but it's not certified with Google, so no Android Pay... Among other things.

My family have been Costco members for years, and we go once a month. You can get all sorts there, but as others have said, you can get big packs of toilet roll, kitchen roll, dishwasher stuff, laundry stuff, etc. which makes it well worth it! The food is always very good quality. They sell branded clothes at a cheaper price, too. Also loads of shiny electrical goods, and all the cakes are about as big as your face and come in packs of 12... I could go on!

This will most definitely get myself and my friend back into Elite. He will want to go in all gun-ho but I'd like to see if they attack us first...

I love Five Guys burgers. They're much better than what you can get at McDonalds and Burger King in my opinion, even if you have to pay more. And the added bonus is the chips and the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines they have! Admittedly, it's the only one of these "better burger" chains in the local town... What I really would enjoy in town is a local Tortilla! (Tex-Mex style burritos and tacos)
