Ooh, and I've just had a thought! Microsoft announced that the Xbox One will be receiving backward compatibility for original Xbox games. I wonder if that will include the original Star Wars: Battlefront series! I absolutely adored Battlefront 2!

Yeah, it had a load of problems. I never even attempted 4K, mainly because I only have a 1080p screen, but to begin with, I couldn't even hit 60fps consistently with my i5 7600k, 16GB RAM and GTX 1070. Admittedly it knocked my desire to play the game and, although I've tried it again recently and enjoyed it, I didn't go back to it for more than a couple of nights at most.

Forza Horizon 3 was really quite rubbish on the PC when it first released, but it's got better. You still need a beefy PC to run it, though! Forza 6: Apex (which you can get for free on the Windows store) was a lot better, performance wise.

I won't be buying a One X as I have a fairly beefy gaming PC and have owned an Xbox One S for only almost a month now. It's why I'm glad Forza 7 will be Windows 10 as well, as my PC and the slimmed down Forza 6: Apex for Windows 10 has ruined Forza 6 on the Xbox for me! EDIT: Oh, and I forgot perhaps one of the bigger highlights of EA's conference, Star Wars: Battlefront 2. I was really hoping for some more Star Wars news, as they mentioned they had several projects in the works. But Battlefront 2 looks pretty good. They've brought back the old class based system and they've extended the points system that was sort of a thing in the original Battlefront 2 (of the PS2/Xbox era) so that you can earn points to use vehicles and heroes.

Personally, I'm excited for Wolfenstein 2 (I'll watch the reveal later on!), Anthem and Forza 7 on Windows 10. Sea of Thieves for the Xbox looks really cool, and there was an indie game called The Last Night which was teased but had a really distinct and cool art style, so I'll look out for that.

Anyone been following the E3 press conferences over the last couple of days? EA, Xbox and Bethesda (and Devolver Digital, if you're interested) have so far had their conferences. EA was mostly sports, as always, although they did reveal BioWare's latest effort, called Anthem. More was revealed about it and some gameplay shown at the Xbox conference, and it looks a bit like if Destiny and Titanfall had a baby. Looks really interesting! Xbox's conference was about the Xbox One X, the official name for Project Scorpio, but they showed off a fair few games too. Looks like they're really building up their array of games. Bethesda announced a new Wolfenstein game and The Evil Within 2, although that conference started at 5am and I wasn't staying up for that!

Yeah, I need to play RDR2 as well, and whilst I hope Rockstar have learned their lesson that making a PC version is worth it after GTA V, I'll be just as happy playing it on the Xbox One. I'm really intrigued to see how far they go with the Xbox Anywhere thing - I really doubt they'd make the next Halo game fully available on PC, for example. That being said, I thought that about Gears of War and Forza.

I just caved after many, many years of wanting and bought an Xbox One. It's going to be my Halo, Forza and Madden machine, by the looks! Oh, and Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018, because who's ever heard of a PC version, amirite?!

I bought Valentino Rossi: The Game over the long weekend, which is basically the official 2016 MotoGP game with added "Valentino Rossi approved" off-road racing and some car racing/rallying, for some reason. Apart from the car racing part where the driving simulation model doesn't hold up (in my opinion), it's a huge step up from MotoGP 14 from a PC perspective. MotoGP 14 was such a bad console port that it didn't include an option to exit the game (seriously), so I used to have to end the process instead...

Mass Effect: Andromeda unlocked last night on Origin at 11pm, and I played about an hour before going to bed. It's... Interesting... I'm still only on the first mission so I haven't got very far but this first mission really strongly reminds me of Halo 4. I guess it's the whole alien, unknown environment thing. Still, I'm really eager to get home and carry on playing!

Didn't even realise there was a DLC pack releasing - I'd just uninstalled BF1 to make room for Sniper Elite 4 and, later this month, Mass Effect: Andromeda! I also may have pre-purchased Middle-Earth: Shadow of War... Green Man Gaming are doing 20% off, plus an extra 5% off with a voucher code from an email. So I'm all set for games this year!

It saw use after a long time in there a couple of years back when my phone screen was broken and I didn't have a backup smartphone. Amazed that it still works and the battery life still beats anything else I've ever owned!

I absolutely loved Shadow of Mordor, the environment design and gameplay mechanics were brilliant! Very excited to see they're doing a sequel.

I wonder if it's a solar system very similar to ours, with a star of the same classification or similar mass, and a planet in the habitable zone about the same distance from its sun as the Earth is from the Sun. That would be something to get very excited over!

I recently decided that, in the run up to the release of Mass Effect: Andromeda, I'd replay the Mass Effect series again (this time on PC instead of the Xbox). I finished the first installment at the weekend. I forgot how much I loved ME! The first one is great and there are some awesome moments, but now I'm playing ME2, I can't look back. ME2 has always been the best of the bunch, in my opinion.

All that work would go down the drainpipe otherwise. I'm sure it's just a matter of looking through the logs.

Rather than make a new thread, I thought I'd necrobump this one... Fiza and I are still struggling to find parts for these Dell Chromebooks, model number CB1C13. A quick Google search reveals US sites that stock various parts, but they don't ship to the UK. Has anyone been able to source parts for these Chromebooks in the UK?

I love Discord, so much so that I've subscribed to their Nitro thing. It doesn't offer much but I use it so often that I thought I ought to support them! TeamSpeak is 2nd on my list.

I've just started to play again with a group of my mates. I've suddenly taken to playing Lucio all the time and I'm really enjoying it! Got a POTG last night with him and I only get PsOTG once in a blue moon with any character!

That's very close to it (and very good looking too), but not quite! The Avenger, with the spiky ball pommel and banded grip, is the Ep1/2 design. My experience of Ultrasabers is all very out of date, so you could be right. I did have an issue with my old saber, which I sent back and it was then completely replaced with the then new model. Haven't had any troubles since!

I bought a cheap $60 PVC pipe saber from Ultrasabers almost 10 years ago now. It's actually found some decent use as a lighting prop for my Dad's Genesis tribute band. If I was to get another one, I'd probably go for a replica of Obi-Wan Kenobi's Ep 1 and 2 hilt - I just think it looks the business! Ultrasabers have since upped their game and their replica looks more or less identical to SaberForge's offering, but $30 cheaper... I'm not bothered about a soundboard, I do that myself!
