  1. CCL Online Aria PC I purchase components from everywhere
  2. Laptop? Desktop? All-in-one? Purchase with a monitor/keyboard/mouse?
  3. When we had this, I had our HR manager contact the teacher and sent along instructions of how to sign in to Apple's iCloud website, what to click on (with screenshots) in order to remove the device from their account. Once this was done I connected it to iTunes and it automatically detected that it wasn't attached to their account any more and allowed me to wipe it. This way no contact was made by myself, and I believe that our HR manager might have mentioned about them 'preventing the use of school equipment for anyone else, presumably so they could keep it, or with malicious intent' and scared them with some legal fluff.
  4. Thanks for the reply, @bmaloney, however that doesn't really answer my question. Are you implying that because email servers store and can send emails, they are less secure than a web server?

Spent all yesterday chilling and watching Game of Thrones, whilst playing PokeMMO. Thanks to whoever pointed it out to me on Discord
  6. It would have been interesting to hear the explanation surrounding the point 9(ii):
  7. Peter Rabbit last Saturday. Absolutely beautiful animations and just stunningly gorgeous
  8. Saw this when on holiday in Ireland. I call it: "Little Dog Lost (its head)"
  9. Welcome nordlaw We regularly get this question asked, and there's a number of threads that cover different aspects of this: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/how-do-you-do/182694-live-streaming-webcam-birdbox.html http://www.edugeek.net/forums/general-chat/169275-our-living-eggs.html (specifically related to IP filtering, might not be relevant) http://www.edugeek.net/forums/cleo/151117-hatching-chicks-video-streaming.html There's a variety of solutions that were posted, depending on your available resources and budget. I'd also advise asking your technical support team if they have any ideas because (especially if you want to post it on your website) there may be bandwidth considerations with streaming video constantly.
  10. Now, you see, when I take everything into consideration, that includes entering competitions multiple times. Usually under different names. Henry, George, Numatic, Hetty...
  11. The greeting from my sister's dogs when I enter her house
  12. Probably unrelated but may be worth a look. https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/1993476-windows-10-enterprise-1703-sysprep-breaking-edge-others?page=1 This issue on our machines would also cause the system to hang regularly and just run slowly. As soon as I granted permissions to all users (or just deleted) the Administrator's WebCache.dat everything returned to normal. Identifiable by ESENT errors in the event log - a lot of them! EDIT TO ADD: Also have a look at how often your documents autosave. If it's every 10 minutes as default then that's great, but for a couple of staff for *reasons* I changed it down to 2 minutes. Cue slowdowns.
  13. Yep, that's the only reason I stick around in here.
  14. These glue jokes are super!
  15. Why do you have the cup of tea in the first place?

Holy s(ugar) that's a cruel choice... Going to have to share with a few of my friends and see what they come up with Mass Effect deserves an honorable mention, but as I've played them all to death (except Andromeda) I could live without them. The Elder Scrolls - fantastic series, Skyrim is one of my favourite games. I still find stuff to do in it I also have to complete Morrowind some day! Fallout - obviously. Star Wars - assuming this is all games, KOTOR, SWTOR, Jedi Outcast/Academy... I could practically live off these games. Deus Ex, Total War, STALKER.... Total War - I need a strategy game in this list!
  17. Fixed That For You (would have done the acronym, but minimum 6 character limit...)
  18. Finally catching a Pokemon that I've been after for ages (There's some other great suggestions I agree with on here, too!)
  19. I think he said it too swift-ly.
  20. Welcome, new members! Great to see more expertise around these parts (certainly I don't qualify! )
  21. I think you're pulling the wrong carriage, trying to get this thread renamed. Also, surely "My Little Punny" would be a better title
  22. They used to be called Metronet before they merged. We currently use them for our business as our main ISP. Edit to add: The business I work for has used Metronet as our ISP for several years, since before I started, and the support from them has gone downhill even though the service itself has been ok. My boss knows someone who works as a second line technician for them, and (although this is obviously potentially biased, and third-hand from myself) they say that the sales staff don't actually have a clue and keep passing quotes to the technical teams for prices/work estimates etc. This was evident when I asked our account manager for a quote for installation and maintenance of a wireless radio link between two buildings, and after chasing him for 3 days I finally received the below quote. Nothing else, no plans of how they would do it, or redundancy, or anything actually useful for our decision making process: "I have looked extensively into the solution that you are looking for in regards to the P2P for COMPANY. After getting a technical breakdown I have established that we could provide this connection for £500 per calender month with no install charges on a 36 month contract." This is all seeming to follow from Metronet's merger with M247 last year. Source (apart from us being a customer) https://m247.com/news/metronet-uk-acquires-m247-47-5m-create-national-telecommunications-platform/ Make of that what you will, and your mileage will most likely vary. So in short - support is not fantastic, waiting times can be a while, however the actual quality of the internet line has been satisfactory (no downtime in the last year to speak of).
  23. Did it just drop in for a spell?
  24. As I've upgraded my gaming rig over the years, the spare parts have been assembled to form my 'server'. AMD Phenom II x6 1100t-be, 16GB DDR3 RAM, 128GB OCZ SSD, 2 x 3TB WD Red HDD's in RAID 1. Currently running Windows Server 2012 R2 with Hyper-V installed, and the File-Sharing role as a backup for my photos.
