I tested them for G Suite but didn't get on with the sales team during the trial so decided to give them a miss.

TwistedHelixis replied to Jaan's topic in Cloud Services
I noticed this over the past few months and have also been posting via YouTube as a workaround. -
Google Captchas at login
TwistedHelixis replied to rogerdnixon's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Remembered what it was, but not how to fix the issue. It turned out that all schools going through the LA internet were also getting the Captcha issue. When the LA fixed whatever the issue was everything was fine again. Perhaps something based on the LA's IP / DNS was triggering the issue. Sorry I cant be more help -

We had this a few years ago but I cant remember for the life of me why. I will dig through some of my old docs and see if I have anything written down. -

Sorry to jump on this post (ignore if you want), we have a site license what is all this logging in stuff about, do we still need a license? -
Just setting up Google Classroom at a small primary school. Do I create the classrooms and then invite the class teacher, or spend time creating documents and getting the teachers to do this themselves? I can see a few of the teachers having issues and needing me to help anyway so I am thinking just doing it myself.

But if there is a problem with the vm, will that not have been synced also. Think this was a reason why I disabled the sync part of the backup and sync software.
-
I am just about to do the same :0) Which ones did you go for?
-
They also do educational discounts

I do it both ways. I use Google Backup and sync (sync disabled) to backup local server files to the cloud, and Cubebackup to backup cloud files to a local server :0) been doing this for ages. I also have Spanning backup that backs the lot up to their servers

The host (not domain joined) has just enabled UAC and I cant seem to disable it. When I open UAC and drag the bar down it says I must be logged in as an admin, but I am logged in as the admin the host is running our only VMs DC + data the really odd thing is I just changed UAC policy on our DC for some clients, but the host is not domain joined and not listed anywhere in ad and lists itself as Workgroup when i check. Starting to panic a little

The primary school I help out at has been using G Suite for the staff for about 4 / 5 years and I have just been given the nod to get Chromebooks for Year 6 (finally). If that goes well I can slowly roll them out for the entire school. So I need something that doesn't look cheap (Yes they do go on looks at this school) but also doesn't cost the earth and leaves a good impression. Main things I need, decent quality screen, good sensitive touch screen, Android app store, screen size between 11 and 13 inches. decent amount of time to end of Google support, They don't need to be big and chunky as they currently have nice looking consumer laptops and very thin tablets that survive very well with the pupils. Found the following so far but would really love some input / advice :0) Lenovo Chromebook C340 https://www.johnlewis.com/lenovo-chromebook-c340-11-1ta000buk-chromebook-intel-celeron-4g-ram-32gb-emmc-11-6-inch-platinum-grey/p4339263 Lenovo IdeaPad Duet (Not sure the plastic hinge would last in a school) https://www.lenovo.com/gb/en/laptops/lenovo/student-chromebooks/Lenovo-CT-X636/p/ZZICZCTCT1X LENOVO IdeaPad Flex 3i https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/lenovo-ideapad-flex-3i-11-6-2-in-1-chromebook-intel-celeron-64-gb-emmc-blue-10207513-pdt.html DELL Chromebook 11 3100 2in1 https://www.dell.com/en-uk/work/shop/cty/pdp/spd/chromebook-11-3100-2-in-1-laptop/n011chb3100112n1emea#features_section ACER Spin 311 11.6 https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/acer-spin-311-11-6-2-in-1-chromebook-intel-celeron-64-gb-emmc-silver-10203802-pdt.html HP x360 https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/hp-x360-12-2-in-1-chromebook-intel-celeron-64-gb-emmc-silver-10200681-pdt.html ACER 314 Touch 14" https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/acer-314-touch-14-chromebook-intel-celeron-64-gb-emmc-silver-10203217-pdt.html

Just helping a friend get a new graphics card (or second hand). Started looking at the one I have which is a GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1070 8GB, which seem to go second hand for around £200 ish on Ebay. Then noticed the GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1660 Super 6GB Gaming OC new for £200+ ish Any idea why the newer card goes for that cheap price new? Is the 1070 better but older? https://www.google.com/search?q=GIGABYTE+GeForce+GTX+1660+super+8GB&safe=strict&source=lnms&tbm=shop&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjPy-yAub7rAhWNasAKHSMdB_EQ_AUoAXoECA0QAw&biw=2560&bih=1297
