  1. Uninstalled the audio driver and installed the newest one from the fujitsu site and then put on KLite - Free-Codecs.com : XP Codec Pack 2.5.1 is one of the most complete codec packs KLite cures all ailments with codec problems. D
  2. Yep, its a good idea it was suggested earlier. RAID 10 would be ideal if it can be budgeted for.
  3. How would you go about licensing though, is that price for a single user?
  4. Im guna setup a cam, not sure what to set it up on though, I want to set it up on my bonsai trees and do a time lapse to see them growing this summer? Would that be interesting?
  5. Use SetRes, create a batch file and give it the same icon as the program you want to run. Inside put the SetRes command with the relevant switches then put the name of the program. This way it will set the correct res then open the program. You could then put at the end of the batch file a pause so that when the user closes the batch window it reverts the res back to normal? A bit of a long way round I know! setres.zip
  6. Raid5 can struggle when SQL Logs are concerned, that why its better to go with RAID 1 in this case I'd say. Or even better RAID 1+0 if you can budget for it. If you want to go down the RAID 5 route then put the SQL Data on your RAID 5 and your logs on a seperate RAID 1 volume and also your OS on a seperate RAID 1 volume.

  12. The Local Settings folder is part of a user's profile, but it does not roam, and can not be redirected to another place. When the documentation says that "the Local Settings folder does not roam", I understand this to mean that it does not get automatically downloaded to the user's computer when he logs on, and does not get automatically uploaded to the network share when the user logs off.
  13. If you actually want to take good pictures you need to a get a Hasselblad, but if you don't have a spare 25k then a Canon 500D or something higher like a 40D? D
