  1. Problem solved! It was a clashing WiFi unit name. Thanks.
  2. Thank you everyone for the swift replies. Some are, but all machines are displaying the message. Interesting thought, going to look in to that one. Sorry I should have been more precise. The exact error reads: Windows - System Error A duplicate name exists on the network.
  3. Hi all, I have a very strange problem with my network where every computer displays the "duplicate exists" error. Essentially I can rename a computer from "ICT-2" to something completely unique, such as "ILoveLooting" and it would still throw up the duplicate exists error. There are 2x domain controllers, one with DCHP and both with DNS (one on 2008 and one on 2008 R2 - 2008 functioning level). Neither server displays DNS or DHCP errors in Event Viewer. Any help would be very much appreciated, this problem is slowly driving me insane! Thank you in advance.
  4. Interesting thought about the builds keeping the construction industry alive... my school (thankfully) is listed and can't be modified externally at all, plus the local council won't give planning permission for extra buildings in the grounds. So I wonder what BSF can do for us? Maybe tart up the inside a bit, that's probably about it!

  6. Hopefully the word is "cut" and not "delay".
  7. Awesome, well done and importantly thank you!

  13. Looks like the problem is much more deep rooted then GP I'll start a new thread as my grey hairs are going white with stress. Thank you everyone for your help.
  14. Thanks for the swift reply, checked the GPO rights and all authenticated have users access and by default machines aren't specified in the permissions list.
