  1. We use Recycool, got about 1k in creidts so far!
  2. Does that mean Dos_Box (God status) has to grow a white beard, and wear white robes at BETT next year? (Taken from the "general" idea of what the Christian "God" looks like")
  3. Previously there was no helpdesk system in place, now we direct everything through said helpdesk, seems to be working well, we still get students knocking on the IT Office door though, I don't have the heart to turn them away, I just ask them which teacher has sent them, and log a job under the teachers name for the student. Any student that knocks though does get the same treatment, they get a "Sorry, I didn't catch that!" until they use there P's and Q's! D
  4. Agreed, its a mess! Dos_Box has it in one "Our democracy is broken!"
  5. Correct, why can we not just have it so that the party that gets the most votes gets #10, surely thats more democratic than the system we have in place now? I am also unsure what to think about all the people who didnt get chance to vote. I know in sheffield near me there were hundreds of people qued up to vote and they just got turned away, again, how is that right? D
  6. We run a simple helpdesk system that any member of staff can report issues on anytime 24/7, I have it setup so that any new jobs are sent to me via email which I pickup on my phone, so if its urgent I get to know instantly. If a pupil has an issue, they need to contact a member of staff, usually their form tutor who can then report a job for them, were trying to cut down on the amount of students knocking on my door! D
  7. Good but too bl**dy complicated for me! Just keep it simple and it will work fine. You can run this remotely and it will add a permenant connection to the specified printer for who ever loggs on, wether pupil or staff. RUNDLL32 PRINTUI.DLL,PrintUIEntry /c \\MachineName1 /ga /n "\\ServerName\PrinterShare" RUNDLL32 PRINTUI.DLL,PrintUIEntry /c \\MachineName2 /ga /n "\\ServerName\PrinterShare" RUNDLL32 PRINTUI.DLL,PrintUIEntry /c \\MachineName3 /ga /n "\\ServerName\PrinterShare" RUNDLL32 PRINTUI.DLL,PrintUIEntry /c \\MachineName4 /ga /n "\\ServerName\PrinterShare" Or you can run it locally. RUNDLL32 PRINTUI.DLL,PrintUIEntry /ga /n "\\ServerName\PrinterShare" D
  8. How do I move up the ranks and become a supporter?
  9. I run either a 50" Telly or a 24" TFT Monitor, depending on where I plug in!
  10. Excellent, im going to have a look at this then, Cheers.
  11. Ill have to have a look into that I've not heard of anybody doint that before, would be nice if it was possible. D
  12. Could you not setup an account that is only used for contacting pupils and put a footnote on every email to say that it is not monitored for reply's? Alternativly you can setup message restrictions in active Directory under the specific account. Exchange General -> Delivery Restrictions -> Message Restrictions -> Only receive From D
  13. Still doesn't come with a GUI - http://i.microsoft.com/global/hyper-v-server/en/us/PublishingImages/Home-table-2.gif No getting away from the fact that its still a viable program to consider though! D
  14. Yep I've looked at this product before, only trouble is you need to be fluent in power-shell to get anything done as it doesn't come with a GUI.
  15. Seriously, I think we could run the country better by picking ideas randomly out of a baseball hat! :-p
  16. I recon EduGeek should run for Election, the country would be a better place with us running it!
  17. Given the title of this post "Outlook 2010 is terrible at"........Sending a Receiving E-Mail?! I have it installed at home to test and I've had alot of problem connecting my various email accounts.
  18. I'm going to have to have a go at this. :-)
  19. How's your liver holding up? They will dig you up in hundered of years and you will have been preserved by pickling! ;-) D
  20. We have this same issue but not on MAC's just through IE. D
  21. You have to choose the best of a really bad bunch!
  22. True, which party is it that said they would give everybody a job, and if then don't do the job then its bye-bye benefits? (with exceptions obviously, for old people, disabled and people who are actively looking for work like Axe) D
  23. Yeah the post was from just a few weeks back. D
  24. Yeah I would think that its the realtime agent etc etc....
  25. After a small amount of googling (remember people google is your friend) I have managed to find this from the MBAM forum. The Rubber Ducky guy seems to be the Admin/Moderator. RubbeR DuckYMar 25 2010, 06:15 PM Educational licensing fits under corporate licensing.
