  1. We use Uniflow here, it's part of the lease cost so can't give you prices, but works pretty well.
  2. I've tried all sorts on my Android Head unit, Poweramp is my choice at the moment but nothing so far ticks all my boxes either.
  3. I'm not going either. First miss in 12 years. Too much stuff on, and not much money at school!
  4. I want a new "cheap" phone . Burnt in the screen on the work S8 already, so want a non-flagship LCD screen personal phone! Happy Christmas me! - - - Updated - - - The low end Yamaha's are particularly good value
  5. We have Meru (Fortinet now) 1700 ipads 300 laptops Very few problems really. We didn't buy the original system from them, but we've had great support and service from Switchshop (especially Michael Curry) with Fortinet/Meru stuff.
  6. Hi All, We have a Mercury Pro laser cutter with a few issues, does anyone know of an independent engineer or service company, besides the £400 call out ones!!?
  7. laptopbits.co.uk is a company I've used a lot before now.
  8. Hi all, we currently have Apple TV (2nd and 3rd gen) in all our rooms (90ish), connected to the Projector or TV, and the optical out into the Amplifier via a converter. This all works well, and has done for several years.Just need regular reboots etc.... Anyway, new block is opening in January, and we need 7 or 8 more. The new Apple TV has no optical out, so we need to buy either old ones from somewhere,or look at an alternative, Has anyone used the various bits of software available successfully over VLANS? Any recommendations? We're Windows 10 on the PC's involved.
  9. I just have a NUC plugged into mine
  10. HAs anyone tried Windows Story Mix yet?
  11. Thanks all! Will have a look at Unifi.
  12. Site is a "large " House, 4 bedrooms over 2 floors, with a self catering lodge up the hill, around 20m away but 7m higher than the house. Currently the extenders work fine, but the router is old and basic (Netgear DGN1000)
  13. HI all, Firstly, this is a personal, not work, thing so feel free to ignore. Need to get a new router for my sister's B+B in the Highlands. Needs multiple SSID or Guest capabilities, plus some bandwidth options. ADSL, will have a couple of extenders (already there, Edimax ones) My own TP-Link does this but is a cable version (Archer C7) and I wondered if anyone had first hand experience of current ADSL routers that might do what I need before I buy one? Cost is an issue obviously, small business and all that, and they only get 8mb connection at best!
  14. I'm starting to fill this in as I have a meeting in school next week about GDPR, after months of asking!
  15. I like the way they want to know our DPO. I've forwarded this on as, of course, the SLT still haven't really worked this out!
  16. Thanks for my braid! Used some already!
  17. I contacted support yesterday and had a very pleasant experience to be honest!
  18. We've used JTRS and Western Computer in the last 5 years. Would love a pm to name and shame though, as we're just about to tender too......
  19. We've used Ruler for over a couple of years, and have got them to implement quite a few things in the product. It's good once the people admitting students/staff remember the email bit!
  20. We have NEC UM250X, 280x and newest is UM301w. Pretty reliable
  21. Possibly 10. The 2nd gen ones that were historically serial, we've already run USB to. It's just these few 1st gen.
  22. Same OS and image , just different PC's!
  23. Yes, they all worked fine with the PC's we took out at summer. (RM EcoQuiet with a serial off the motherboard header) These new Dell Optiplex don't have a header so we're having to use Startech PCIe cards.
