Ah... I see a simple solution to this problem. Go outside find a rock and scrape the car and put a couple of dent in for good measure. There you have done what someone else will have done. Now you can go everywhere having peace of mind...... Ok I'll get my coat!

Didn't get a chance to do it today with Sport Relief! However I will do it for certain on Monday.

Well I believe you are in luck. I just so happen to have a clicker 5 windows install disc on my desk. I shall try to create an ISO tomorrow. Hope that helps!

I have had a similar problem. I just can not get this update to install. I have tried everything. I have not settled with declining that update in WSUS and will worry about it when it may need updating in the future. Still a pain in the behind though.

Yup we are doing it too. This will be our third time, I have been involved in the project from the start. Myself and the ICT Co-ord are doing it wth 12 year 8 pupils. Every year it gets easier. The first year was a disaster!! lol. As said before it really is good experience for the kids. But can be somewhat stressfull especially when the kids realise they are running out of time to get the broadcast completed. Still, as someone said to me today "you would just be bored if you were not involved!!" There was some grating of teeth and icy stares!!

Anyone know where I could find the drivers for Win 7 or Vista for this laptop. Only got XP and I am looking to move on to Win 7. Thanks

I have deployed it to our 2 suites and the technology rooms. I used the msi on the CD and deployed it by adding it in the relevant GPO's. Everything worked perfectly. Only problem I had was having to copy our mimics the target PC's.

You see that happening when installing IE7. But it only does it straight after you install it (before reboot) and stops once you reboot the machine. Anything in the event viewer??

Michael from Logistix has created a package. Not tried it myself, but you can download it here

I have not deployed the new one yet. Currently on holiday and the school is closed!! . But I deploy it via group policy, both install and uninstall. I have never had any issues.
-
I say deploy it too. We use the BBC stuff alot, revisewise and bitesize and that stuff uses shockwave. There would be a riot here if I did not put it out to the masses. Just my opinion though!

Nope!!, cos it was the hoover that actually killed it. Not him!

[windows software] Server 2008 r2 ISA Server
denon101 replied to denon101's topic in Licensing Questions
Would the cals be per user or per device??? We are running 2003 at the mo and only have enough cals for devices and not users. -
I am currently looking at setting up access to school for staff from home. I have been looking and I assume that ISA server will allow me to do this. But what I need to know is what else would be required regarding licencing. Are there any other licences we would need? Just trying to work it out as I have a meeting with the Head tomorrow morning. We are only looking to allow 25 staff access, mainly for access to network and access to the authority citrix/sims solution through the web. Thanks
