Hello, Please can someone help me... I'm new to Ubuntu, but have used FOG in my previous job, I'm now trying to set up a new FOG server in my new workplace to make the deployment of images etc a lot quicker... I've installed Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, set an IP Address, downloaded FOG_1.3.4, installed it via terminal. Following a YouTube video online, it says 'is the My SQL password blank [y/n]', i select no, the same as the video, which worked in my previous job... FOG installs, etc, i get the message: 'You still need to install/update your database schema. This can be done by opening a web browser and going to: http://**.**.**.***/fog/management I type in the URL and get an error: The 10.31.97.240 page isn’t working 10.31.97.240 is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500 Please help me, I need the server setup as quick as possible. TIA Dan

Hello, Wondering if anyone can help, I recently bought a server from eBay and having trouble setting it up. I'm trying to install hyper-v or just server 2012 R2, but getting stuck, it's not bringing any drives up, there's room for 4 drives, I'm using all four slots with X4 500GB hard drives, when I'm coming to install server 2012, none of the drives are showing. I've contacted the seller who said I need to install some drivers to allow the hard drives to work, he's sent me some links etc but none of them seem to be the right driver. Please can anyone point me in the right direction?? Thank you in advance, Dan

Go to start, run, cmd, then type in ipconfig

Just about to post an update.... Some how it's working again, I've not restored anything, all I've done was install a security update and removed the impero for Mac. Very very weird but it seems to have solved the problem. 🤔🤔🤔

hello, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, i've checked the server, it has 8GB in, i'm checking the logs about it's talking about can't spawn the trampoline, and also saying that he 'Kernel: proc: table is full'. I've got no idea what this means, the whole machine just crashes, nothing responds at all, nothing on the dock, whenever i try to open a program, it says '[program name] can't be opened', it will only open when it's been re-started, unfortunately pressing the Apple logo at the top left, and going to 'restart' doesn't work, so i'm forced to hold the power button down to turn it off. It's driving me mad, and causing huge problems at work, please can anyone give me help on what to do, i'm still waiting for Apple to get back to me, but not holding my breath. Thanks, Dan

I think there's either 4 or 8 GB. I'll check tonight when I'm back home and remote on and have a look. It was fine when I updated it in August through to September. Just started playing up middle of October.

Hi All, I've got a strange one, during the summer I updated our Mac server to OS X El Capitan, all was working fine during summer and September etc, middle of August the server app keeps crashing and stops responding, I've phoned Apple, but their technical support is rubbish, their solution to the problem is to format it and start again, obviously I'm not wanting to do that, as all our OS X images and settings are setup. I'm not too familiar with creating images via deploy studio. Please can someone give any help as to what to do, I usually access profile manager which is where the iMacs are setup from and pull the settings for the student machines etc, none of this is working anymore as the server app needs to be on all of the time. Sorry if I've rambled on a bit, I just need help as soon as I can, it's causing problems and one of the teachers aren't happy as it's effecting their teaching and learning, now the head is involved too. We don't have passcodes on any of our iPads, we have an iCloud account configured on them so they can't be setup without the iCloud password, this stops students from updating the iPads etc. This also prevents them from being stolen. Dan

We use direct access, this allows staff to use their laptops at home and be connected to the school network.

We're moving house soon, I've currently installed CCTV in my old house, and will be looking at installing the same system in my new house. I want this system to look neat and tidy. If I buy pre made bnc cables, how do i get them in the house when the cameras are outside. Ideally I want the DVR in the front room. In the current house, the DVR is in the garage so access is daily easy. In the new house I'm not entirely sure how easy it will be. Can anyone give me some advice without having to go through the soffits in the loft etc. Thanks in advance. Dan

Hi All, I've recently been asked to have a look at minecraft in our school, I'm the IT Technician in the school who looks after the entire network etc. Minecraft was setup by the old network manager who was there when the school first opened. All I know so far is: The students login to an account called 'minecraft', this is a restricted account. In AD, when I'm looking in the properties of the account it shows a profile \\server\profiles\minecraft As far as I'm aware the program isn't stored on the machines, it's stored somewhere and it takes an awful long time for the account to log on. Are there any guides to setting up minecraft again from scratch so I know how it works. I don't play minecraft myself but students are telling me that the shortcut was on the desktop last week, and now, today, it's not. They all login to one account. I also know that there's a roaming profile setup, but when the account logs on, it says it's logged in as a temporary profile. PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP ME??? Thank you in advance. Dan

You need to go into control panel on the actual machine rather than internet explorer options..

If the password is saved in internet explorer you can go into your user account and find the manage your credentials tab, I'm sure it should be saved in there..

As long as everything is mapped via group policy (printers, home drives, school share) then you just need to go in to group policy, the OU of the users, user policy, I think it's windows settings or something like that then security. I'll double check when I get to work.
