@happymeal Yes, it is. I ought to mention that since refitting the E4500, the first quirk I mentioned (holding the reset button in before it'll boot) has stopped happening. It may be that my E6550 - while being a supported CPU, may be the wrong stepping or something silly like that.

You might have to, it kicked me out again and I can't connect back in. It could very well be something of mine, but i've no idea what on my ME network it might be. ...Or restore from backup, whichever is good.

Right, this is attempt 2 at trying to sell this PC. I still have it, I'm still not using it (although I have tested it since) and still would like to sell to someone who will make good use of it. I am also willing to throw in a Core2Duo and 2GB of DDR2 RAM also. Firstly though, there is a couple of quirks i've found - it requires holding in the reset button for approx 10-15 seconds the very first time you switch on after plugging in the mains, after which it will proceed to boot up normally from then on until you unplug and replug. Second one is that the E6550 C2D @ 2.33 GHz (which I would have liked to include) is instead detected running at 1.4GHz even though its a fully supported processor. I mentioned before about including an E4300 with the PC, though I think I also have an E4400 and may include that instead if I can find it. As I have neglected this one a bit by not putting it back in the box (which I still have + accessories) and it has ended up with a few small scratches. These aren't noticeable unless you're actually looking for them but you may be able to touch these up if you so wish. The front bezel however still has the protective polythene strip around the edge as I never bothered taking it off. My price for this + CPU + 2GB RAM will be £50 OBO + Reasonable courier cost. Minus that if you're fairly local and choose to pick up yourself. EDIT: I actually have an E4300 and an E4500. I'll include either based on your requirements. I'll also sell for less but without the CPU & RAM.

I can tell you that it has become a free download on Steam so you won't have paid for it, but i've no idea either why you've got it unless you've inadvertently clicked something on Steam's store page.

I tried it 3 years ago to 2 DCs, both of which are still running rock solid. While it certainly is possible, it is at your own risk and i'd still recommend clean installs where possible. In my case, a clean install wasn't viable at the time.

Well at least i know we're not the only ones now. They are close to useless. Our website wasn't working this morning - it was a known issue and they failed to let us know beforehand but to be fair, they did contact us when they fixed it. Oh well.

Can I ask if someone at a SWGfL connected school and confirm for me if Google Earth works okay for you. As in the title, none of the PCs on our site with it installed will connect back to Google's authentication servers. I will be contacting them (SWGfL) but wanted to see first if anyone else is experiencing the same fault. Of course, I did suggest to our Geography department they could instead use Google Maps but they prefer Earth.

Does your ISP allow you to connect to those ntp addresses? The SWGfL for example blocks access to any ntp servers except their own so it may be worth finding this out.

As for handles, I don't even like my edugeek one (given to me while at school - well it was either that or 'Mongo'...) so I tend to variate mine trying to find something I like and is unique therefore ending up with an inconsistent amount of handles that I don't like and worse off than when I started.

I have Cat5e modules in a similar faceplate (3x in single gang), these are 31mm deep but take up 16mm of the back box from the back edge of the faceplate if that makes any sense. I would hope that that Cat6 modules aren't any deeper.

The problem with DeployAnywhere is that it will only inject Network and Storage drivers into an image during a deployment, meaning the idea of a Hardware-agnostic image is still far off if you just rely on that. However - and I know nothing beyond what i've read about on the Symantec forums, it is apparently possible to get Sysprep to inject other drivers during that stage from an alternative source other than the Windows driver database on the image. To me, it sounds rather complicated to set up (not that I know how to) and until DeployAnywhere is updated to allow injection of other device drivers (if ever) then you'd probably be better off sticking with MDT.
