I briefly looked at the manual as well as a couple of reviews for the unit; as I understand it, there are 12 front-facing bays + 2 internal bays. The 2 internal and 10 of the 12 front bays are populated and sealed off and are not designed to be removed/replaced by the user (of course there are ways and means but this would invalidate any warranty it might have.) Should 1 or 2 drives fail, you're supposed to populate the recovery bays with disks which will rebuild the array and provide you with temporary access to the data to allow you to recover it before sending the unit back to Hitachi for drive replacement. Since this is the case, it's probably better to write this off and purchase a unit which will allow user-replaceable drives. You could probably do it with the Hitachi unit, but you'd run the risk of losing the software that runs on it (assuming they do the same as Buffalo and stick it over a bunch of the disks.)

I've seen that from exploding large amounts of TNT in single player.

I thought it was me to begin with, as my internet connection is still a bit hit and miss plus my Powerline adapter dropped its connection also, but it turns out it's neither. I did also suspect the 14 ME Interfaces + 42 Molecular Assemblers I added but I'm glad it wasn't that either.

Looking at that website, it says that £117 is for the pen charging kit. After changing the option in the lower left corner, it's £35 for just 1 pen which still may or may not be a lot (and about as much as we pay for our activboard pens) but it's cheaper than £117.

We have a number of these (about 7 or 8 of them), one got destroyed in a fire (good riddance!) and the others (bar one) have all lost their ability to focus too. At the moment, I've been purchasing new lens assemblies from China via Aliexpress and fitting them to the ones we have spare/lying around with actually good results (i.e. it fixes the focus issue). As I have found (from 3 which won't focus properly and a heavily used one which won't focus at all), the reason these lose their focus is due to BenQ using cheap polycarbonate lenses that aren't particularly resistant to heat, which then causes them to warp from the heat from the lamp. The lenses i'm buying in have reportedly better heat resistance and should fare better but we will see. EDIT: Changed bulb to lamp, I have a colleague who'll moan at me if I leave it as bulb...

If you plan to use machines that make use of EU, Rednet Energy cable will convert between RF and EU and you just need to attach the cable between EU machines and RF conduit.

So how does that work when we're mining in the deep dark?

I have my laser setup mining glowstone (with yellow focus) at present which pulls in a fair bit at a time. Just over 3k at last count. So I have this setup to turn on and off using an energy monitor so when power gets low, it turns off as to prevent anything else (like my AE setup) from stopping/turning off then turns back on again when my capacitors are nearly full again. Seems to work okay i find.

The only way I've been able to get this working so far is to set domain user accounts to create and only make use of a local profile (i.e. it creates one then doesn't upload on logoff) as this allows for the start menu to appear correctly on each logon. The only slight drawback is when it creates the profile for the first time, this can take a 2-4 minutes based on the speed of the hard disk (though quicker if using an SSD) and in my case, I've configured the PCs to delete certain local profiles on shutdown which then creates this delay again when users next logon.

Doh , actually no it's 8x8x4, but it's not far off. I did it for fun mostly, but yes the Ender Quarry does seem to use a fair bit so this replenishes my power easily - plus I can't be bothered setting up a lava->RF generation setup.

I currently have a 10x10x4 Big Reactor with 4 cores filled with Cryotheum, 10 Improved Windmills, Triple water wheel (seeing a pattern here?), 1 Lightning Rods, 1 Solar Generator and 1 Culinary Generator. I'm in the process of adding another 3 Lightning Rods.

Yeah, I had to change my setup in the end to be much like yours as I found the rod had worked but none of the energy flowed to the immersive engineering HV cable and HV capacitor I had connected to it. Once I placed the other type of capacitor, it all started to work as expected.

That might have already been there, especially if you've built close to spawn. EDIT: Oops, I should get into the habit of refreshing the page before replying.

Tried improving my Big Reactor, going for something bit similar to @localzuk. It's now producing a lot more power now (yay) but obviously using a bit more yellorite in order to do so. Then I managed to lose the power tap in the process. I made another but where did it go?

We lost Pro, Enterprise & Education last week (but LTSB was still there) so contacted MS to find out why they were missing and were told that while we were entitled to Pro, Edu and Ent LTSB, we weren't entitled to Enterprise and wouldn't be restoring that one to our VLSC account. So I've just checked again this morning - we have all the editions showing as well as the keys (inc. Enterprise MAK and KMS) so MS don't seem too bothered that we're still getting it?

I have one of these MBs that I pulled out of an broken Viglen PC case and shoved into a not so broken one. Anyhow, while mine says 'F2 for BIOS' I've also found this doesn't work but the Delete key does, so that may be worth trying.

Since you've not been on the last few days (as far as i've seen), i'd agree with you.
