Had a look through the files in Program Files\UltraVNC and can't see any image files.

You mean you don't have it written down somewhere how your servers are configured? If so, big whoopsy

This was posted up ages ago: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/jokes-interweb-things/62476-do-you-have-head-heights.html Not having a go by the way, just giving you the link in case you wanted to read the discussion about it there. It's scary though, that's for sure

Suppose one way to do this on NTFS folders would be to create the folders with write permissions, but not read permissions. That way students can drag their work to the folder (after they've named it STUDENTNAME.doc or something similar), but can't open the folder up afterwards to edit/delete etc.

But you're 360 right? I'm PS3 now

When I was an Xboxer I had a load of mates that would be online at the same time. What we would do was set up a private match on certain maps, and have all but one person assign to one team, and then just one person assign to the other team. The single person had 20 seconds or so to corner himself into a building (we only played maps that were good for this) and then the 10 or so on the other team would try and break in. The single person would change each game, and depending on skill it might have been 3 against the rest etc. We used to play loads of daft private games like this among friends, and it's the thing I miss most about the Xbox.

Yeah, it's only for work, and most places will make you go to occupational health for a check before you trundle off to the optician. It's more trouble than it's worth.

I normally use this site to get the basic layout, and then do my design around it: Free CSS | Free CSS Layouts | Free CSS Website Layouts Page 1 Takes some of the work out of starting a new site.

I knew I was getting a few new games for Christmas, but I was worried that I never play my PS3 anymore because I don't like where I'm living (I know, lame excuse but whenever I hear next door banging etc I feel like curling up in a ball). So I had a plan. We bought a new 40" TV for the living room (where the other half doesn't mind hearing banging etc), and I pushed the sofa bed in the spare room into a sofa again, put the older 32" TV in there with my PS3, iPod, and HD freeview box, got out the camping tables and fridge etc, and bought a wireless video sender. Now I have my own den with Sky, PS3, music, fridge, and a big sofa, and all I did over Christmas was stay within the four walls and play PS3. Hopefully I've done enough to keep me happy until we sell the house. In the two weeks over Xmas I've completed Fallout 3, and gained 20 levels on COD. Anyhow, my PSN is Hightower_Geek if anyone wants to add me. I have the following online multiplayer games: Black Ops FIFA 11 & FIFA 10 Borderlands Looking at getting Home Front when it comes out, and possibly GT5 but we will see.

Happy New Year folks. Just a thought here, not something I'm desperate for but it could be useful. Is there a version of VNC that stops input devices at the local computer and displays a custom image on the screen? I know a few versions halt the input and turn off the monitor, but it would be useful to instead show a picture that has something like "this computer is being worked on by IT, please do not touch". Anything like this exist?

Was hoping for a nice quiet start back, but the boss ballsed up the SIMS upgrade last term, and since she is not in this morning and this is the first I heard, I have to upgrade SIMS manually on about 100 workstations. Joy

Am I the only one who is looking forward to going back?! I'm sick of looking at the same four walls and the same TV. Can't wait for tomorrow if I'm honest.

Bought a new TV on Monday. Nice 40" Samsung, was down from £577 to £477, but because someone wrote the price sticker out for the box wrong we got it for £377. Bargain!

I have an Astra 1.7 cdti, and I love it. It's got the poke I need, and copes great when loading the car up to the roof with camping gear. Just gotten back from the metro centre this morning and it's manic, but would rather do that 10 times over than go through what you are going through lol. I'm quite fancying the new shape Civic, in a 05/06 plate, but it's just a pipe dream haha. Maybe in another 5 years I'll get one.

3) Maybe you're driving a little too close then if this affects you

Know nothing about cars mate, but I do know that it's horrible when your car breaks. Feel for you mate, and hope you get sorted one way or another quickly and cheaply.

I have a place where I keep my bookmarks though..... Google. They store every bookmark I've ever used or needed.

To be honest, I couldn't even tell you what Delicious is or what it does.

I installed it, and it was really really good. But if I ever play a game on my phone it's usually just to pass 5 minutes so Angry Birds does for my mobile gaming needs.

Asked for this for Xmas of the missus as I think it's only £12 at the minute. Like the idea of my brother(s) joining my game to help me with missions etc. -

I'd request a school map (if not handed one by standard), and ask someone to show me where the nearest kettle was to my office.
