  2. Your Timetabling Software needs to be factored in. Also while Xporter and Wonder will swap for free etc, some of the other apps may require payment for migration, or worse we had to manually merge students in one system, but that was them making sure that the migration did not wipe out a student's history within the application.

  4. I've just finished watching Philip K. Dicks Electric Dreams on Amazon Prime (as I missed it all when it was on Channel 4). Highly enjoyable little anthology series.
  5. Give them a long ethernet cable as a "backup"?

  10. You are very unlikely to get that to work, as you need a USBc port with DisplayPort out and you are not really going to get that unless you go down the USB Port Replicator route, and then you usually have to install the displaylink (or other) drivers on the laptops to make that work.

  16. Just to pipe in with a suggestion, you have the data in Excel, try using PowerBI desktop to pull in the data and visualise it.

  19. I have had great success with both T series lenovos and HP pro/elitebooks from ICT Direct. May be worth giving @ICTDirect_Dave a shout to see if they are able to work on with you.
  20. Why????
  21. I got loxit trolleys from ICT Direct, they are great, take a bit of setting up, but cannot fault them. What I also do is get refurbished chromebooks from ICT Direct as well, as you can source very cheap screens from AJ Parts (I paid £14 a screen for my last lot, but that was a bulk bulk order)
  22. We did have laptop lockers that came with BSF, each child from year 9 upwards had a locker (with mifare card) assigned to them. These were from Traka, but costs creeped up over time, locks were £70 to replace (ourselves) and then 2 years ago the big news came, after having these lockers for 12 years, they were going completely end of life, to replace them was going to cost over 120k we decided let the students take them home and pay extra for remote filtering. We already have an agreement the students and parents have to sign to say they are liable for the costs of repairs, and we go with 11" Chromebooks where we can get screens (the most commonly broken thing) for £25 each
  23. I would be careful with that information, as it is highly confidential, and I seem to recall that if a child is adapted from care while at your school, they are meant to get a whole new record with new UPN etc (which you may need to speak to your LEA for advice on, as I haven't had to do that in quite a few years now) As for the report, the person who runs your Census Return should be able to pull that out of the Detailed Reports for the Census
  24. I know at least one in the local area
