Does anyone here use Spitfire with 3cx, I've got a trial with them and followed the trunk setup in their guide but I'm still having difficulty dialing out correctly, I can get outbound to mobiles if I dial the full international number eg 0044etc. Inbound is fine, all calls are actually getting out over the trunk as I get the recorded message from Spitfire saying this number is not registered on the spitfire network. As it stands there's no number transforms or anything, it's had me stumped all day Friday. I do have a support call open with them so I'm sure they'll fix but just wondered if any edugeekers new what I could be missing! Thanks Simon

A good place to start if you haven't already is to auth except and whitelist the Connect for Chromebooks category on smoothwall.

Out of interest what version of ChromeOS are you running on the Chromebooks and what auth method on Smoothwall? We had an issue on v69/70 and they were relentlessly hammering our smoothwall box on the login screen, each device many many times a second. It's been fixed on v71 after I logged a bug , I think we were getting like 2.5 million hits to Google due to the 407's a day at one point. Obviously this may not be an issue depending on your auth method.

Hi all, I know this has been asked previously but I wondered if anyone had actually used Chromebooks for Text to Speech and word processing (meeting the exam criteria)? We've been using them as a screen reader using the inbuilt reader and we are happy this works well but will be looking at using them for word processing also. Any advice would be great. As above, we use AD based activation and this might be an opportunity to migrate over for the original poster. If you do need your MAK limit increasing you can contact MS direct (dependant on your license agreement of course)

Is it a MAK key? You may have just hit the limit (Ours are 250 as a default), if you get in touch with MS they can increase it for you if need be.

Have you tried setting the playback device for Chrome? Right click speaker icon in notifications, Sound Settings, other sound options, App volume and device preferences.

I'm pretty sure you can't powerwash an enterprise enrolled Chromebook? They could do a Chrome OS recovery from USB but it would require forced enrolment when complete. (If it's been configured in the dash)

Same as above, we have added a logout and shutdown tile on the start menu.

Hi it will be locked down with NTFS permissions and I'd look into what permissions you really need to assign to your end users.

I'm afraid manual channel maps and tweaking of power settings is the only way (On our Meru system anyway). Depending on how dense your AP's are located you may find even powering off some of your AP's may actually be helpful.

Morning all, I've been asked if we monitor social media for any mentions of the trust, in short we don't. Any direct mentions we get alerted to but we don't actively search for any mentions as this is surely a huge undertaking. We've got some Genee touch screens in one of our primaries and it's usually either something has been stuck on the edge of the screen and is interfering with the infrared touch screen, it can also be affected by light. On one screen we ended up disabling multi-point touch as a work around.

We have had a few issues with Adblockplus which seems to be linked to a recent bug: https://issues.adblockplus.org/ticket/7065 , fixed in 3.4.2

We will be moving away from our Cisco system over to 3cx this year, just wanted to know whether you have gone for on premises or hosted? Any supplier recommendations would be great. I have read a couple of the recent posts on 3cx but any more info would be great. Thanks, Simon

Just remove all the certificate templates on your existing CA to prevent it serving any new certs, you can keep it running while you make sure everything is pulling from your new CA (Add required templates so it'll start issuing certs). Then once happy you can go through the process of remove the old CA completely.

We have several Tosh 2505AC, 3505AC and 7506AC's , all been extremely reliable, overall very pleased with them.

Network locations aren't messed up are they on the affected servers? Showing as Public instead of Domain? Have you checked DNS is working correctly? Can clients do an nslookup on the affected servers and return the correct IP and vice versa?
