  1. I had similar but I mostly use WuFB, within the GPO for this there is a setting: "Select the Target Feature Update Version" which I've now set to 20H2 and will just manually control it from here. MS blurb below: I want to stay on a specific versionIf you need a device to stay on a version beyond the point when deferrals on the next version would elapse or if you need to skip a version (for example, update fall release to fall release) use the Select the target Feature Update version setting instead of using the Specify when Preview Builds and Feature Updates are received setting for feature update deferrals. When you use this policy, specify the version that you want your device(s) to use. If you don't update this before the device reaches end of service, the device will automatically be updated once it is 60 days past end of service for its edition. When you set the target version policy, if you specify a feature update version that is older than your current version or set a value that isn't valid, the device will not receive any feature updates until the policy is updated. When you specify target version policy, feature update deferrals will not be in effect.
  2. Open Value Sub based on Full Time Equivalent employees I think!
  3. Thanks for all the replies, https://replit.com looks great and would certainly be my first choice.
  4. Hi all, How do you all allow KS4, A-Level students access to programming languages whilst securing your systems with application whitelisting? Are you all using online IDE's?

  6. Microsoft now have a security baseline for Windows Update which is useful to base your policy from, I'm using WUfB and it's been working really well, traditionally I used to delay my updates by a few weeks so little was my confidence in MS updates, that confidence is still just as low but with the push on security first than this is not really feasible any more. https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-security-baselines/windows-update-baseline-joins-the-security-compliance-toolkit/ba-p/2098482
  7. Insert the USB into your HyperV server, open disk management (DISKMGMT.MSC) right click the usb drive and select offline in the menu and then add it to the desired VM
  8. I've been looking at this for a while, trialled and works pretty well, GCPW and management through Google, what's kind of scuppered it for me is the plus licence according to my reseller can only be purchased whole domain and not part domain. It's made me rethink my plans and halted me moving everyone on to a single G-Suite tenancy.
  9. Does Biostore require an on prem server? We are currently with Cunninghams looking at other options. Thanks
  10. Can you not just add the external IP of your new webhost to proxy bypass and as a destination IP exception in the firewall, should go direct out then.
  11. Virgin DNS was having issues this morning, i switched over to Google DNS and everything sprung back into life but the Virgin DNS issues now appear to be resolved.
  12. Thanks for the reply, I thought as much, we have a vlan shared with a number of other non chromebook devices but we don't use a non-transparent proxy, the best course of action would be to change this to a transparent proxy presumably? Or add an additional vlan just for these Chromebooks and use transparent to remove the need for the secret knock altogether?
  13. Hi all, Is using the secret knock possible with a Non-Transparent Proxy does anyone know? If not what would you recommend? Thanks
  14. Is it me or is this software pretty terrible, a few tweaks to make it more enterprise friendly would make a huge difference. How are you all handling the auto updates with applocker? As above? Manual hashes per version? What about the DLLs that it calls on an update? Thanks
  15. Hi all, We have Edu Ent licences (not full domain) and the Attendance reports work fine for normal Meets but we aren't receiving them for live streams, the Google documentation points towards they should work, anyone using/had attendance reports for live streams? Thanks
  16. Feels a very different lockdown this time round, barely feels like a lockdown , primary schools at 50-70 percent capacity , secondary schools at much less capacity. I've also been asked to be involved with the testing regime as some kind of Testing Team Leader. Frustrating times , my workload has just been ever increasing during all this. I have serious concerns about what lies ahead for us as a nation, I can only hope this vaccine rollout is super slick.
  17. Is this using Zabbix?
  18. Have you been able to narrow it down to certain users or devices from a report on that url? I've not got the bug ID but it was ages back, it was fixed in Chrome OS v71.
  19. What auth method are you using? We once had it with a certain version of Chrome OS on our Chromebooks when we were using proxy authentication, each chromebook would constantly prompt for auth (expected behaviour was to prompt a handful of times then cease) and we ended up with a similar crazy amount of high hits, I think I ended up whitelisting SSL inspection for google.com to give me time to look into delve through logs, it ended up being a bug in a Chrome OS release.
  20. I'm pretty sure this is no longer the case it being limited to datacenter edition, standard lets you enter IP ranges, this wasn't always the case so I'm not sure when it changed and the documentation is mixed on MS. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/networking/technologies/nps/nps-top
  21. I have this working , I needed to add my papercut server hostname to the proxy bypass in Smoothwall and add 9164 and 9163 (I think these were the ports from memory) into the allowed ports. This is using known host mode .
  22. I don't necessarily think it's poor value at £30 but.. it's an extra couple of grand on our annual Chromebook order for the new intake.
  23. I had an email about it earlier today...
  24. Currently £19 going upto £30 , as of 9th March 2021.
  25. Has anyone had any issues where Update Compliance on the Azure dash just stops updating? I've had it a couple of times in the past year and both times have ended up starting again and pushing out the new Commercial ID to my clients. In the Log Analytics workspace it has this under the Resource Health: We are currently unable to determine the health of this workspace.
