I have the Nokia N82 and would definately recommend it. However, the N79 is newer and almost identical according to the Nokia website, with some slight subtle changes. The only few difference I noticed using their compare was that the N79 is listed as having an LED flash. Whereas the N82 has a Xenon Flash albeit this is not mentioned on the Nokia website. What difference this may be I have no idea. N82 has 16.7m colours, N79 has only 16m. N79 is also listed as having better battery life. The N79 does come with a 4Gb microSD card as opposed to the N82's 2Gb, but you get a Headset and Video Out cable with the N82. Not sure if they give it with the N79. Might be worth going for the N79 as it's newer, but I can certainly vouch for the N82 as a very good phone.

It's out of stock everywhere! In fact, it seems to be discontinued. I think a way forward would be to buy a 2nd controller and then use the receiver with that, as 1 receiver supports up to 4 peripherals, I think!

My friend gave me a 360 wireless joypad that he had knocking around at his old work place before they closed. However, he only had the joypad and no cables. How can I connect it to play games on my PC? Presumably I need a dongle, anyone know where I can get one?

Well the reason I am going Core i7 is to future proof really. I fell into the same trap when DDR2 came out and now I am stuck with DDR and can't upgrade unless I pay crazy prices. My parents have the money, so it makes sense to pay now and save later when they want a quick boost by memory upgrade.

I'm trying to deploy OpenOffice.org 3.0 to the curriculum network. However, I don't think the students and staff are ready for the major change. So, I'd like to keep it as a secondary alternative to Microsoft Office. Can anyone tell me how I can deploy OOo 3 with the following conditions: DO NOT make it the default handler for Microsoft Office documents. Change the default save format from Open Document format to Microsoft Office document format. (I.e. .doc .xls .ppt etc) Cancel the registration wizard on first start and/or deploy my own registration settings.

The Antec 1200 is a very good case, but unfortunately wouldn't be suitable here as it's very loud and considering the PC will be sat in the living room, it needs to be relatively silent. Hence why I've gone for the P182.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that price is (x2) so, that's 2Tb of Hard Drive Space.

The main reason for looking at an i7 system for me is to future proof really.

I've got a £1300 budget to build a gaming rig for my brothers. Has to include a monitor too. I've been looking at Core 2 Quad 9550 specs, however, on other forums everyone seems to think i7 is the only way to go albeit the prices are a bit steep. I was looking for a nice Asus motherboard but the Rampage II Extreme for i7 is over £300. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with Microsoft Live @ Edu. I'm particularly interested in the free Exchange hosted email solution for students to replace our horrible LGFL solution (we've not moved to Fronter yet, don't ask why!) So, has anyone used it? Is it any good? What is the support like? Is it really free?

I would much rather go for the O2 XDA Ignito (O2's Rebranded HTC Touch Diamond) Superb phone and one that I might consider getting myself once my upgrade is due. EDIT: Sorry, my bad. Hadn't noticed that you had already brought the phone. I've always found most HTCs to be decent phones. My work phone is an SPV C600 - Orange Rebranded HTC. Albeit ancient now, it is still a very decent phone.

So, the freezing weather has hit us with a bang! We don't have heating in our bedroom and are starting to feel the chill from the air vents that our landlord has drilled in the bedroom to sort out condensation. The wife and I don't have too much of a problem wrapping up, but I don't want my daughter to get ill. Can anyone please recommend me a cheap electrical oil heater that I can buy to heat the room up. I'd prefer an oil heater because it is covered and therefore "child safe" as opposed to a regular electrical fire heater.

Yeah, we already use it to deploy applications. I just wasn't aware it could do remote control.

How do you use SCCM to remote control?

I've documented about Bloxx before, but I will update now that we have finished our dealings with them. Basically, this was the reason why we went for Bloxx in the first place. To cut the long story short, I-Gear died, we were desperate for filtering, Bloxx, by total coincidence, called and we brought it. Turned out to be a big mistake! First and foremost, and I was not aware of the costs at the time. We were sold the TVT-500 as opposed to being given any other option. That's £5000 for what is essentially a box with an Intel Dual Core (not Core 2 Duo) 2Ghz CPU and 1Gb RAM. Worse than any PC I have sat in the office and worse than most we have in classrooms! The price does include the 1st year maintenance (about £1600) and then we also had advance replacement (next day replacement of a faulty TVT-500) of around £820. So we paid nearly £6000. It all started off OK, but despite block lists being updated "every night @ 2am" more and more sites were not being caught. It got to the stage where we felt proxy avoidance sites may as well not have been blocked. In the last few weeks I have had nearly 10 sites reported to me by teachers that were automatically blocked in Smoothwall's block lists yet not caught at all by Bloxx. I had Smoothwall running live earlier this week before I had to take it down to move from Hyper-V to VMWare. At which point I put everyone back on Bloxx and it was like the floodgates had opened! Just trolling through AB Tutor I noticed chat sites, proxy avoidance sites being used all over the place. Infact, one of the proxy avoidance sites was called "proxywebsite.us" - Tru-View Real Time filtering? I don't think so! I can understand certain things getting missed out, but proxywebsite.us? How much more blatant do you want to get? Got VMWare and Smoothwall running again within a few hours and it's all under control again. Hardly anyone able to get through to proxy sites and blocking being done effectively. And then there is support... I've never been able to get to Bloxx support directly. Always had to wait for a call back and I have called a lot of times. And when they do call you back, you are either too busy dealing with something else or you have long since sorted the problem yourself. Add to this there is no customer call logging at all with Bloxx. With Smoothwall, I am yet to "wait" for a support call, always been able to get through to someone technical straight away and have always been given a full log of the problem during and after resolution of the case. Managing Multiple Domains: Surprisingly enough this was something Bloxx could do that Smoothwall couldn't. Infact, it was the biggest stumbling block for us going to Smoothwall until I was told we can run another NG for free and Virtualise it. So not only am I now able to spread the load across 2 different NGs, if either one went down the other is unlikely to be affected and I've learnt a whole load about Hyper-V and VMWare in getting it working. I am told that multiple domain support is something that will be looked at in a future feature pack, but I like it this way and virtualisation is so damn cool too! The web console with NG is so much easier to use and get used to as opposed to Bloxx. It took me a few hours to get the hang of the NG web console and yet the Bloxx console is still a mystery as to what some of the buttons actually do! Also, the updates make changes and we weren't informed of when or what any updates did or what changes were made. Also, and this is a very important factor, anytime you make a change in AD or on the actual NG, a simple soft restart of the proxy (take a few seconds) and the change is instantly implemented. With Bloxx, we've always needed to do a manual forced LDAP import and even then I've noticed, in our experience, it can take upto 15mins to even a few hours to propagate the changes. Not good when you want to block or unblock a particular site fast. So, all in all, our experiences with Bloxx haven't been so good. They are better than some of the products out there, Symantec Web Security (the artist formally known as I-Gear!) for example, but for the amount they charge, the product and support just doesn't live up to the billing. Definately a vote for Smoothwall from me, if it wasn't clear enough already!

How can I do this in IE7? I've tried addding it to the Trusted Sites and I get the following message: Identification The website you want to view requests identification. Please choose a certificate. And I don't get any options to choose one. I haven't got Firefox installed on that particular machine and would like to try getting it working in IE before trying with Firefox.
