Email problem that I have. Suggestions please!
RabbieBurns replied to superatticman's topic in Enterprise Software
exchange can handle multiple accepted domains, and its a doddle to change the default smtp address. All they need is an account on the main domain and a mailbox set with the mail address of whatever their domiain is. Modify the MX of that domain to point to the exchange server, add the domain as an accepted domain, and then they can access their email either via OWA or outlook anywhere. edit: if it is super confidential, how good is tiscali / plusnet as a choice.. do they even offer secure mail or is it all smtp/pop? at least OWA and Outlook anywhere it is over HTTPS -

Can you not configure Outlook rather than the mailserver to send the replies? get them to leave their machines on and itll be the client replying rather than the server? (ive not tested this, but theres a lot you can do with client side rules) -
how are you listing equipment? Is it general "smartboard" "table" "chair" "projector" or do you have all your smartboards listed in the table, eg Type=Smartboard as if it is the latter way, it wouldnt be many to many I dont think, as 1 smartboard can only be in 1 room. You can have many smartboards in many rooms, but if you are linking it on individual asset allocated to individual room, its 1-1 (i think) edit: but then again, 1 room can have many assets, so It might be 1 - many.. I cant think of it in my head, and its getting late. Someone else will hopefully be able to explain better than I can.

OOFT what a game and comeback that was by Tsonga. Federer is OUT, hopefully murray can win his matches and at least make it to the Final.

I am doing crap. I still havent managed to shift from the 95KG i was when I started this thread. I have put on a bit of muscle in the arms and shoulders though due to the gym, so feel a bit stronger, but to be honest I reckon all my drinking is really prohibiting any loss. I do feel a bit fitter walking up stairs etc, but as far as the waste and chin go, I havent noticed a differnece. Il lbe seeing the family next week and I havent seen them since xmas, so they will give me a frank evaluation.

So are you looking for a report of Rooms with corresponding equipment? You shouldn't want to 'populate' a link table, it is replication of the data that already exists in the other 2 tables. Say you have 2 tables like this, with the first in the column being the primary key Room No EquipmentID EquipementInRooms Building Type Room No Campus Warranty Equipment Extension Teacher Equipment Your third table EquipmentInRooms is populated automatically when you set up the one-to-many and many-to-many relationships. Its kind of hard to explain in text. Post your database (or a subset of data or just the table structure if you like) and Ill tkae a look at it for you and try to help

is this possible on windows? I have a 2008R2 Server with a shared folder, and a WDTVLive media box im trying to use to stream media from the server. I cannot for the life of me get it to see the server share. If i create a share the exact same way on Win7 the WDTVLive picks it up no problem. So my idea was to create a Win7 VM on the 2008R2 server, mount the 2008R2 share as a drive, and then share that drive so the WDTV will pick it up. But I cant seem to figure out how / if it is possible to re-share a mounted drive. I understand from a security POV why this might not be wanted, but I can achieve the above with a linux VM and mounting the share and using samba, which I might just end up doing, but is it possible to do with win7?

No wonder high street media retailers are crashing and burning...

I found it strange you guys are buying from here, but then figured it was the exchange rate making it cheaper for you? New PS3 games here cost $80 -$110 I get mine from play.com shipped via scotland and are abut 1/3 of the price than here -
insidious is the name of the movie i recorded it from, not the name of the song. youtubing insidious on its own didnt really help.

One thing that i find really refreshing about this country, well sydney at least, you still have the little shops in the town. Here theres the butcher, the baker, the fruit and veg shop, the fishmonger, the wee shop that sells the newspapers. I guess because the country is so spread out it is possible, and online delivery takes anything from 3 days, next day delivery is all but uneard of. -
hmm ive got an area in my house that was a dining area, ive now made it into a spare 'room'. problem its an area, not a room. an office divider or something like that would be ideal to section it off.. Or is there somehting designed for houses that is a proper name for something like this? ps. sorry to hicjack, but you just gave me a good idea

RabbieBurns replied to RabbieBurns's topic in Windows Server 2008 R2

what is a Remote build? You mean like on a seperate subnet or over a VPN or something? MDT looks very good. Is there any introductory documentation / how-to guides for a total noob?

Right I'm just about to set up the Aus end of my tesbed network. What is the best way to get the site to site VPN established? Preferably a software option as I dont really want to spend money on somehting which is just for practice. -
OMG I hate windows. I just installed it and I had to do a TON of updates.. Service Pack? What the hell is that. Took 3 REBOOTS!! Come on mattx. New features require new updates. Sony release 3D capablity as one of the updates for GT5 iirc. Does x360 do 3d?

We currently use Ghost for mass re-imaging. Its a PITA getting the bootable USB for them, and we havent managed to get PXE working. Also, the licensing costs us a fair bit too. So Im investigating other options. FOG is talked a lot about on here - is it used widely simply because its free? Or is it easy / good / low maintenance? We are a MS house so fully licensed for anything, should we look at MDT then rather than FOG because we are licensed for it? Basically looking for whatever solution will be the easiest to maintain, the easiest for my techs to use, and ideally if I can save some money without paying for ghost. Or, should we just stick with ghost and try to figure out its problems.
