What would you all recommend?

How do people who use live@edu deal with students who leave after year 12? We have just had our first batch of students leave since we rolled out live@edu. We have no plans for them to keep their school email address. If I just remove the user accounts from the OU's that live@edu uses, should it then remove them completely?

I found it hard to answer the questions too.. I answered NO to question 2.. I did not realise virtualisation was classed as being Green However I answered YES to question 3. I am virtualising due to the simplificaiton of management, both in hardware and software. My concernes for the environment never entered my head. Also, I ticked YES to the power management, but again, that was without any consideration of being Green, but simply of saving money. To be honest, after answering NO to the first question, the rest were irrelevent. I dont konw of Green Technologies, and its not something I have thought about. Im not Anti Green.. I just dont know anything about it.

Ive only worked in private schools in Scotland which dont get any funding from the .gov, would they still have had to do it? If so, it was certainly nothing that was even mentioned to us in IT.

Ive just started setting this up to put into production. I would like to add a little school logo onto the front page. Could someone point me in the right direction which file I could modify to inclde a simple small banner to sit above the Install Consumable and Consumables line? Cheers

living in a big city, the public transport is pretty damn good. Theres a bus stop right outside my window, and another right outside my work. Theres a bus lane all the way too which means a 10 min less journey time. However a week bus ticket costs me much more than fuel/running costs of my car, so its cuonterintuituve for me to get the bus. Plus I treated myself to a nice BMW for xmas so I dont really mind driving any more \

Thanks for that. It appears that running it in headless automatically enables the vrde however I thnk you are right regarding the extension. How do I install it from gentoo cli though?

I run virtualbox in headless mode, which allows to RDP to the host server to view/control the Virtualmachines. Since upgrading to Virtualbox 4.0 I am no longer able to connect to the Virtual Machines via RDP. They are definately running, as I can ping them and access their services etc. Once thing different is when I restarted them, I got a warning that the -p port option for what port to listen on for RDP is depreciated, so I started them with the new option it said to: 11333 ? Sl 19:50 /opt/VirtualBox/VBoxHeadless -startvm 2008R2 11586 ? Sl 2:58 /opt/VirtualBox/VBoxHeadless -startvm Win7Pro -e TCP/Ports=3391 16141 ? Sl 42:39 /opt/VirtualBox/VBoxHeadless -e TCP/Ports=3390 --startvm 2008Server However an nmap of localhost doesnt show them open or listening... and I cant connect to them.. Has anyone else had this problem, or am I missing something?

Its actually working fine now.. not sure if youve changed anything, but the problem has gone away now..
