The only way I've done it is by waving a Mifare card at the reader and seeing if anything happens. The only alternative I can think of would be to look up the product number.

If you're using a Paxton system then check your readers will support Mifare. We had to upgrade our readers for ones that would read Mifare.

It's worth checking what readers you have, as if you've got the right readers you can use Mifare cards, and they can be dirt cheap.

By the time our free flue vaccine applications have gone through county and we've got the coupons back it's normally October/November anyway. There's been a couple of years (pre covid) where I didn't get vaccine appointment until after we broke up for Xmas. Have you tried using SetACL Studio? I found it pretty good at brute forcing permission resets on things like broken home drives or user profiles.

I have "Having problems, check out our helpsheets or contact us through the support site." (with links) in my internal email signature. And we do have the occasional "don't forget to log jobs on the support site rather than just emailing one tech" reminders, but I normally put them out through either the SBM or SLT IT lead.

Having come in at 7:00 with the exams officer, in part because it's what we've always done, and in part because its the first time using Bromcom's integrated A2C, we had the whole download/import done in about 20 minutes. So exams officer has decided we probably don't need to bother coming in early next year. (Which seems a far cry from when the previous exams officer wanted to be in for midnight in years gone by). So out of interest, who still comes in early for results download?

If you are redirecting the start menu for users (through Group Policy>User Configuration\Policies\Folder Redirection\Start Menu), then you just need to add the shortcut to the source start menu (where the start menu is being redirected to) in the Programs\Startup folder.

We just have a shortcut to \\Papercut_Server\pcclient\win\pc-client-local-cache.exe in the shell:startup folder of the redirected start menu.

We've just used http://www.theschoolprintshop.co.uk to do all our student ID badges, and I was very impressed with the service. Was exactly a week between final design approval and us receiving the cards/lanyards. 6/1,200 had minor printing issues and were replaced without any hassle. They do a pre-paid bundle service where you buy a set number of cards that you can draw down over time, so I assume they can keep your designs on file.

Hi all, Weird problem on my home PC, I've been using MIS afterburner for a few years now without any issue (no overclocking, just custom fan curve and tweaking the power/temp limit down a touch after the New Worlds thing). But recently it keeps defaulting the temp and power limits to the minimum when I restart. (PC specs in signature) Anyone else had this, know what might be causing it?

Just to check, you have checked to see if there's a connection? (not sure about cisco, but our HP/Aruba switch lighting can be set to just show POE) If you've got a cable tester, it might be worth checking the cable run, could be just the transmit or receive cable pair has been damaged.

Nice. It looks/sounds like what I've seen called a city or urban bike in Europe. Very similar to the Cube Hyde Pro I've been commuting on for the last 6 years or so. Hope it works well for you.
