Did you have a default profile assigned there? I didn't and had to manually go into the device list and assign a profile to the device. But yeah it wasn't to do with credential expiration. Might be work going into the device list and seeing if it actually had a profile assigned to it?

So for me it looks like the device just wasn't associated to a DEP profile within Lightspeed. Took me a while to actually find that setting... I'm picking up an enviroment that someone else setup so its a bit all over the place.

I have an iPad that was removed the Lightspeed and needed to be re-enrolled. I factory reset the iPad through iTunes and started going through the setup of the iPad again. The iPad is in Apple School Manager and is assigned to the Lightspeed MDM. I thought when it joined the wifi then it would check in with Apple and then re-enrol into the Lightspeed MDM, this however has not worked. Is there something that I am missing or doing wrong? Afternoon, I have a rather annoying issue with Persons ActivLearn and pop ups on iPads that are managed through Lightspeed MDM. The iPads have a policy enabled to Allow Pop-ups within Lightspeed MDM, however, when going to try and open one of the books within ActivLearn using Safari on the iPad it throws up a message saying that Pop Ups are blocked. Has anyone come across this issue before and got any hints? Cheers

I had this issue and it was only present on computers where I had OneDrive Known Folders running as it was syncing the tempsimsrpt folder in Documents. There was another thread about it on here. Last time I looked though it didn't look like SIMS really had an answer for the issue.

Since the update I have laptops that will crash the display driver meaning users can't project or connect to our wireless display adapters. Have only managed to pin point that dwm.exe is crashing but have not worked out why or what the fix is yet.

It would be worth looking at HaloITSM. It's an all in one ITSM solution and is amazing to use. It's one cost for all the features and really can be a powerful bit of software.

Do you have any screenshots of that database config in CardExchange? Civica have installed SmartAdmin then said he didn't know what to do with CE so has left it to me, even though they quoted on being able to do it. I've got the SQL login details, I just need to know what table or whatever to point CardExchange to?

Out of interest in terms of implementing MFA on student accounts, how would you go about implementing this on those students in primary school?

It should show you the UNC path it is trying to connect to. Are you able to connect to that path from the server? Also is there a specific domain users that NRS use to run the tool, if so that might be the only account they setup with permissions to access the share on their cashless side?

On the SIMS server there should be the trust-e SIMS Extractor, you might need to run that and just tick the Send Photos box and hit communicate now. That should then send it across to the cashless system.

If you use Salamander they have the ability to write the emails back into SIMS, I think the write back license for it was about £100 on top of the normal salamander license.

For the same request that I had I kept it all separate, our PTA was setup as a registered charity so was able to set them up their own Office 365 tenant for them to use.

I'm just in the process of trying to setup CardExchange (although rebranded as TrustID through Magicard) and trying to get it setup with AD. The aim is then to have it read and write the card number back to AD. Salamander will then handle the sync to Paxton, PaperCut will sync from AD. But yeah I've spoken with EntrySign and they have said if you are syncing with SIMS then there is no way to sync card numbers from AD.

Then I was able to run the test successfully using their tester. Also if you have applocker it requires some exe and dlls to be allowed as well.

I've looked into this a couple of times and the package I keep coming back to looking at is Admissions+ but I have never been given the budget to buy it and make it happen. It pretty much lets you publish the forms you want to gather all the information and then can generate you a file to import into the MIS from memory.

I implemented 1Password for my team last year and it's been great. Works well across all devices, you can give granular control over different vaults and each member gets a personal vault to store passwords in. Pricing is good as well, I think for about £200 a year we get a 10 user license.
