Afternoon, I need to create a form or some kind of booking system so that parents can book their children into extra classes but with limited places. Just wondering if anyone has managed to do this and how they done it?

So I'm having an issue where by SDS was setup by my predecessor and it had been working and synced across data. Then when the academic year rolled over it seemed to promote all the years/classes correctly, but it has not synced acrossed any new users or provisioned the new classes/groups correctly. I recreated the SDS profile through SIMS ID but still getting the same error before where it says "[TABLE=width: 968] [TR] [TD=width: 968]A value is required for property 'displayName' of resource 'User'" and " The student could not be added to the class. Confirm the class SIS ID and student SIS ID is correct and that the class was in scope for sync." Have you come across these errors before? [/TD] [/TR] [/TABLE]

I'd be keen to hear how people have done this as well

Afternoon, I am just looking at EduLink for my school. We have just setup a trial. For LDAP sync it is only using LDAP not LDAPS. Is it possible to use LDAPS? Also on the admin setup page we have to select our school from a drop down list which I don't particularly like? From a users perspective though it is looking good.

Yeah that's what I thought and done. My first step in the task sequence is to restart in Windows PE then go through and apply operating system. But it is failing on the first step with 0x80070002. Only since changing everything to HTTPS.

So I have got GPO set and enrolling clients which is working fine. The task sequence will be running on PCs that won't have ever been domain joined. I have imported the certificate into SCCM console and set everything to HTTPS then updated the distribution points with the boot images. How should I be adding the certificates to the boot images?

Good Afternoon, I have just setup a brand new instance of SCCM Current Branch and built my task sequence and deployed applications. I have then setup and changed all communications to HTTPS and now my task sequence is failing. I suspect this is because the computer I'm trying to run the task sequence on does not have a valid certificate on. Has anyone had this before?

Morning I'm looking at my options for changing ISPs and filtering. I'm currently in a contract but may be looking to change. One supplier is offering Smoothwall S10 UTM. I have never used Smoothwall before and am just looking for peoples opinions on it and what their experiences have been? Thanks,

When I asked SchoolsBroadband if they were going to keep any Lightspeed filters they told me they were not and had only upgraded them as part of their update procedures.

I have been asked to look at getting around 90 laptops for our teaching staff. They want them to be mobile, light and have a minimum of 4GB RAM and an SSD. What's good on the market at the minute and what are others using? Cheers

Ah the upgrade to Lightspeed v3 actually fixed an issue I was having with our BYOD wireless and the RADIUS accounting. Will NetSweeper still have the same capabilities for a BYOD wireless network? Obviously with some way to deploy the proxy settings?

So with the upgrades to the Lightspeed filters is the plan still to move away from Lightspeed and onto NetSweeper? Or is there now an option to stay on Lightspeed?

I've brought a bundle like this from Groupon before but for the 2012 courses. I'd say its definitely a good deal.

Hi Dave, As a SchoolsBroadband customer I was not made aware that the filters were being upgraded to v3? Does this mean you are going to be running a Lightspeed filtering system alongside a NetSweeper filtering system? Are you phasing out Lightspeed altogether? Thanks,
