How have you setup your test enviroment to be completely independant of your work domain/network?

Hey, Im just working on Windows 10 Group policies now. I have had it all setup and nearly ready to go when all of a sudden the windows 10 machine I have been using for testing just appeared to not apply half of the group policies it should have. Has anyone got any ideas as to why this may be? Cheers

Hi, I have to decide on whether to replace some old HP switches with either new HP switches or with Netgear switches. I have never used Netgear switches before and am just wondering on what peoples thoughts are? Are there any preferences on which is better or easier to use? Cheers

That's what I thought would be the case. I hate going through Group Policies, they take so long to sort out. I have got so many to go through where people had just kept adding to them over the years to get things working how they wanted.

Afternoon everyone, I'm getting ready to deploy Windows 10 this summer. The deployment side of things seem to be all set up and ready with SCCM 2012 R2, and I'm now just working on Group Policies. Just thought I would see what others have done first. Did people re-write most of there group policies or just change/add the necessary? I just think I have a lot of legacy policies and was seeing if there was an easy way to identify them without effecting the production system. Cheers

Veeam is great, there is also a slightly cheaper alternative called Altaro which seems to be pretty good as well.

Would you say it could be suitable for a BYOD/1 to 1 solution with the ability to monitor and control guest access? That's with about 1300 students and around 200 staff?

Oh right, I've only been at this place for a few weeks now and its all stuff that was in place when I arrived. At the minute there is no VLANs in place, I'm looking to do that in the summer.

No I didn't want them to but the setup of the 2007 server would rebuild the machines if the last pxe advertisement had been cleared, but it's fine, I've done it and am changing the set so that pxe boot has to use f12 and be triggered manually

Hi All, I am just in the process of migrating from Sccm 2007 to SCCM 2012. If I turn off PXE on the 2007 server and on, on the 2012 server, will the Machines rebuild/reimage themselves? Many Thanks

Yeah, I've got it sorted now and managed to capture a Windows 10 image. It was just a case really of making sure everything was up to date and re running the task sequence.

Yeah I updated to R2 SP1, I've got past this issue now, I just updated the client package. But now it seems to just freeze when running SYSPREP. Anyone got any ideas?

Hi All, I am looking at deploying Windows 10. I have setup a build and capture task sequence. However, when it gets to setting up Windows and Configuration Manager, it starts the process then restarts the VM which is doing the B&C and stops the task sequence. It does not display any error message. If anyone can help at all that would be great. Thanks.

Hi everyone, We have an issue with our Mac server, when profile manager is trying to push settings out to the client it is stuck on pending. The clients can communicate with the server, imaging the clients from the server works and all necessary ports are open. This was working at some point in the past but has since stopped. Any help would be great, thanks.

Yeah, it was running fine for a while and then the server just keeps crashing and disconnecting the workstations.
