  1. Would Azure Web App Proxy work, so that you don't have to have a server sitting in the DMZ?
  2. Do I need to do any configuration with any of the datastores or network cards or will Vcenter pick that up and make it easy to do? I've never really worked with VMWare much before.
  3. Would there be any problems if i setup a new vcenter appliance without copying any of the configuration or settings? What would I then need to configure? Would it still be able to pick up the hosts and clusters and VMs?
  4. Evening, I am in the process of upgrading my VMWare enviroment from 5.5 to 6.5. I am starting with the vCenter Server Appliance (Currently 5.5) and have gone through the 6.5 migration wizard. As the wizard goes to migrate the data and information from the old server appliance to the new I am getting this error. If anyone could help that would be amazing! I'm trying to get this done for Monday and have never done this with VMWare before. Thanks,
  5. Hey, So I have SCCM 1710 and have Windows 10 LTSB 2016 deployed site wide. I have got SCCM pulling Windows updates and deploying them. Compliance is saying that the updates are being deployed successfully but I cannot see them in Software Center on in the list of installed updates in Windows Updates. Has anyone ever come across this before? Thanks,
  6. So I am looking at Intel Server Chassis H2224XXLR3 2U with SSD storage. Has anyone used this hyper converged system yet? I'm interested to know more about how it works and the pros and cons? Cheers,
  7. I am just going with PFSense because I already have a spare machine that I can run it off and at the minute I don't have any budget to buy anything else. PFSense itself seems to offer everything I need, I just need to configure it all.
  8. Good afternoon, I have got a second basic internet line going in on the 1st of Feb just for redundancy in case our mainline goes down for any reason. I am also going to use it for testing. I currently have 2 isolated test networks which I want to connect up to the internet using this second line. I'm looking at using PFSense as the router and then configuring that to stop the 2 test networks from communicating with each other. Has anyone else ever done this or got any pointers? Cheers,
  9. So looking at Hyperconvergence, how exactly does this work and is it a good way forward?
  10. I'm going to be moving from VMWare to Hyper-V so possibly could look at any of these options. What sort of pricing are you getting for the servers and SANs?
  11. Not sure it applies to this problem, but I had a similar issue and it was because the server I was running it on was setup to use UEFI instead of legacy. Not sure why but when I set the server up as legacy it started working.
  12. Good Afternoon!! I'm looking at doing a server and SAN refresh. I'm looking at 3 host servers running around 25 VMs and a SAN with around 20TB of storage (preferably SSDs). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Cheers
  13. Oh right, so are you running Azure AD Connect as well then and not run into any problems using this way to manage them?
  14. I'm not trying to do anything too fancy. Microsoft doesn't support not having an exchange with AAD Connect for some reason. Are you using ADSI edit then to add aliases and AD attributes? Cheers,
  15. Well praise to Veeam. So with any directory sync you still need an on prem exchange to manage the mailboxes and email aliases. Hopefully Microsoft can actually sort a solution where I can actually completely remove on prem exchange.
  16. So I never had DirSync, set up right away with Azure AD Connect. This has been working fine. I have just bitten the bullet and removed my on prem exchange server. Looks like I can manage everything through Exchange Online and the mail flow is all still working. I will do some more testing but all looks alright. I have a backup of the Exchange server should I need to restore anything thought.
  17. Yeah it looks like I was just being impatient haha. I've been doing some reading online and a lot of articles are saying that you need to keep a hybrid server if you are using DirSync. I am using Azure AD Connect to sync my users so would I still need to keep my hybrid setup? I can't really find much info on this setup.
  18. Have actually run into a strange problem with shared mailboxes. Outlook 2016 isn't automapping them but i can open them in the owa, have you run into this one? Cheers
  19. I've started with my VeeamONE monitoring server and managed to get that doing direct send apart from it being marked as SPAM that has worked. Just need to work out an IP address for and SFP DNS record to prevent being marked as spam.
  20. Oh right, yeah, I setup the hybrid then used remote move migration. With the server shutdown the mailflow and everything seems to be working just fine. Just got to look at getting my MFDs and applications sending mail now.
  21. Okay, have you removed the hybrid configuration at all yet or just left it all switched off?
  22. I have finally got all the mailboxes migrated using Remote Move Migration. I am looking at now removing the on prem Exchange, I have changed the DNS records and now just need to turn off the old Exchange and get Outlook connecting to Office 365 rather than local Exchange. Do you guys have any tips or good links for this? Cheers
  23. Good Morning, Has anyone successfully migrated public folders and mail enabled public folders from Exchange 2016 to Office 365 Exhange Online? If you have and have any advice that would be great. Thanks,
  24. Hi Homer, I have managed to get SSL working and https all setup with it as well now.
  25. I actually signed a contract with SchoolsBroadband earlier this year even after reading a lot on this thread. I have been more than happy with their services and their customer service. Okay the internet speeds may have been a bit slow at times but no product will be perfect 100% of the time. I have found that the SchoolsBroadband support desk have been helpful and I am very satisfied with their service.
