If you've got different makes of switches, the terminology used by the switches can be different for each make, so you'll have to do research on each make and translate their terminology. Also, not all switches support VLANs, so check that your current switches do support them before you start as it may not be viable with your current setup. Edit: Something else, one of your switches must support routing, so check for that as well.

Get one that is classed as a 24 hour operator/manager chair, they are designed for extended periods of use and can cope with those of us of a *cough* larger *cough* build. If you have back problems, you may need an orthopeadic 24 hour chair, but they are very expensive for anything worth getting so you may have to have a full H&S assessment and doctors not etc to get one.

I presume as well as your internal DNS server you have external DNS provided by some external DNS provider. If thats the case you just create a record on your internal DNS server pointing to your internal IP 10.14.*.* and on your external dns provider you leave it as the external IP 212.*.*.*

I get em from our local pizza/fish n chips/kebab place, far cheaper than the big chains and far nicer imo. They even combine their kebab/fish n chips sides with the pizza side, so you can get a donner meat pizza or a fish n chips pizza ... or depending on your tastes...

I'll email a cable guy I know for you. Is it going through a ceiling void or externally between buildings and do you have existing fibre patch panels? Will it run at 1Gb or 10Gb and if at 1Gb do you want the option of upgrading to 10Gb at a later date?

You need 2 cores for data cable. Ideally put in at least 4 cores, gives you a bit of redundancy if a core stops working and also gives you the option of agregating links later on for better speed/redundancy. For the cable you're looking around 60p per metre for 2 core and about 90p per metre for 4 core, so it doesn't add that much to the price, the expensive bit is installation, termination and testing.

They won't bill you, they just knock it off the balance until it reaches 0 and then not send any money or an explanation. They collected a few deliveries off us and we received no payment, chased with them and after a few back and forth phone calls, that was the explanation given. Just make sure you only send them cartridges on their price list and you'll be fine.

We used to use Recycool, but they have a list of toners they will rcycle which changes on a regular basis, anything you send them that's not on the list they will charge for. We found Greentech will pay for a much larger range of toners and don't make charges for ones they can't recycle, so we get far more money from them than we ever did from Recycool.
