Seconded here for the Oracle S7000 series, they do all the things you're after like dedupe, snapshots extremely well. Have a chat with Phil Lawrence, hebdenlad on here, who works for Oracle as a storage specialist or speak to Andy Trevor, linescanner on here, who is from a company which sells the kit. We've had some of the S7000 kit here for well over a year now, much better than any of the other storage solutions in the same bracket that we looked at.

I think for us and for most secondary schools we want the RBC to stop faffing about with extra services and just concentrate on providing a reliable, fast network connection. We'll do the filtering at our end, our own email, vle etc etc. For primary, I can see a filtering system and a few extras are required, but even then these could be provided and managed by the pyramid secondary quite effectively.

There are some permissions that Exchange 2010 activesync needs which unless you inherit permissions the account won't get them. It's not a security issue, the permissions should be inherited anyway, it's just it doesn't always take correctly, it's a known problem.

Give it 5 minutes and try again. If this fails, go to https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/ and do an activesync test using their account and see what error you get.

I liked the bit in the F1 Forum afterwards on the red button when they were in the Red Bull garage for the celebrations and Eddie Jordan was nearly lamped by a load of photographers when he went to grab Vettel for an interview.

I'm not dissing the outstanding achievements by Brawn and now Red Bull, but neither were 'new' teams. Red Bull was originally Stewart GP, then Jaguar and finally Red Bull. Brawn F1 were BAR, the Honda, then Brawn and now Mercedes. As can be seen from the mess Toyota made and the problems the new teams this year have had, it's a much harder proposition building a team truly from scratch rather than buying an existing team.

Well, made my decision and have placed the order, £2.5k off dealer price, just got a long wait now as probably won't be delivered until April.

Have to see how this one plays out, but if it means a more equal distribution of money to schools then so much the better.
