Sounds daft but it looks like a simple permissions issue, can you grant the member of staff Full Access over that Timetabler folder in your redirected start menu folder and see if that sorts it?

Solus3 won't automatically deploy the client to a workstation until atleast one version has been deployed by the Solus3 server. You'll know they'll have been released once they appear in your Update Library as to what is available/downloaded.

Ours is a Neopost machine - I have to say that to my knowledge we have no issues with it what so ever to the extent that my involvement was putting in the required proxy server and occasionally ordering a new ink cartridge for it. This is the 2nd one we've had in the 8 years I've been there and both have been the same (no idea on the terms of the contract however). We do this for lunch and after school lessons, there's a special type of block you can create which is for Blanking Codes. We create a blanking code for all year groups and then schedule those blanking codes into the lessons that aren't applicable for all the other year groups and lock them with a hard lock. We then schedule the extra lesson and lock that in a hard lock too, if you are extending the block for that subject to accommodate the extra lesson don't forget that within that block you will need to blank and lock the extra cells within the block when you build it so that your timetable doesn't try to move any other lessons into that afterschool lesson too (normally only applicable when you come to schedule the timetable when it's being written)

Just ran mind and get all sorts of weird numbers, I must have been in a different part of SIMS to get the 1 - 35 numbers that I was using then, who knows what now!

From memory, it's as simple as P1 on a Monday is 1, Period 5 on a Monday is 5, P1 on a Tuesday would therefore be 6, P5 Tuesday 10 etc so depends on your number of periods timetabled, combined with whether you have lunchtime lesson periods and after school lesson periods which will through the numbering off. 2 week timetable I think carries on, so week 2 (assuming a simple 25 lesson week with nothing else) should in theory be 26...

Desktop Education Bundle will include your Windows Server CAL however you will either need to purchase your server standard/datacenter licences or licence them on your OVS-ES agreement per processor (2 processor bundle) - the processor type licencing might have changed with server 2016, I've not got around to renewing it yet. It used to be P71-06906 for datacenter for a 3 year agreement however you probably want P71-06905 if you are starting a new agreement rather than renewing (again may not be current dependant on the Server 2016 release).

I was to enable Google Mobile Management for specific devices only but I don't know how to go about that without breaking existing functionality. Just as an example I have an android device at the moment which is linked to my Google Apps account but isn't managed. I want to now enable management for some new devices we've purchased without breaking my existing account until I know that everything else with the new devices is working correctly. Last time I tried I ended up in a messy loop with my existing device because it kept trying to add some settings but then failing. As easy guide somewhere would be great!

Use apple school manager and you'll get access to the DEP: http://school.apple.com (You'll need to use Chrome on anything or a newish version of Safari on a Mac) Edit: should have read that you'd already signed up for it, the DEP part is a section within there then you just configure it to point you DEP enrolled devices to your MDM server. It might take a day or 2 for it all to be approved and activated.

It depends how many devices you had, MangeEngine have a free one for upto 5 devices. You could also try Comodo MDM however I haven't quite got my head around how that is provisioned/managed or whether it's just a profile. However after signing up a helpful person contacted me a week/two later to ask if they could show me some more features - as it was ipads and they don't support DEP yet I declined however it may be worth looking at?

If your not on the domain where are you getting the username/password from to map the drive? Unless the local username/password matches the domain account then you will need to pass it using your script.

Just a thought - are they supposed to be conditional forwarders or is that the actual IP it should be pointing too? Does a manual nslookup work if you do the following: nslookup server 10.224.48.210 dorsetcc.local If that returns a result atleast you know that the query can actually be resolved.

We backup to a NAS box (over the network, not iscsi) and then use the Veeam backup copy jobs to copy elsewhere, not had any issues with it.

I thought Groupcall could do this already actually, maybe was a custom module or just restricted to certain types of documents though. I only have a vague recollection of it from what CLEO were going to provide as part of the subscription for the learning platform/parental reporting. Sounds daft, but try right clicking and running an office program as administrator and then go and licence it. Might just be a permissions issue.

Morning all Anyone any ideas what I can do with a HP OfficeJet Pro X551dw with error code 0xc7140024? It's the second one I've got that's done it but I can't fix it. I've tried HP support and all they offer me is an onsite repair at the cost of a new printer or a replacement printer at the same cost. I'd rather work out if I can get it working as I've several more on site with this and don't really want to have to replace them all over the next 12 months if I can help it. Thanks

I use Security Monthly Quality Rollup although I have no idea as to whether that is the right one or not. It does seem to wipe the others off the required list as the clients install it so it seems to be working for me.

We use Google Analytics on our site. It was just a matter of including the tracking code.

Just looked, didn't realise they were up to 5.4.9 so I'm a bit behind with not updating the APT source so it may well have changed. Best not do it tonight since we've got the big O in tomorrow....
