Hi David. ParentPay tell you it's not possible because email addresses aren't uploaded for preadmissions. It's a pain to do, but we managed it last year for the first time. Generate your printed letters as normal, then open them with "Open PDFs". Save this PDF (275 pages or whatever your intake is) then use PDF2GO.com to split it into individual Page1.pdf, Page2.pdf, Page3.pdf etc - there's a button at the bottom to download a zip of all 275 individual PDFs. Then I use Powershell and itextsharp.dll with a SIMS export of preadmissions to open each PDF, find the student's name in the PDF, and resave it as AdmissionNo.pdf Then another Powershell loops through and emails them to the parent, or moves them into a subfolder "To Post" if we don't have an email address. (Yeah, just upgraded 100mb up/down to 1Gb up/down this Spring, so that makes much easier)

Great thread; I should be doing it this summer but I've got too much Host/SAN hardware and OS upgrades on to be worrying about Ex2010 as well. We're Ex2010 and GSuite so in theory GMail is the sensible move, but we've so much Salamandered in Ex2010 I'd need to check if/what/how GMail supports the same features/usability.

Just been speaking to a supplier about changing my Ruckus to Unifi. They tell me I should be looking at LigoWave, which i've never heard of. Searching Edugeek, a few users seem to have it for site-to-site links from 2010-2017 but nothing recent and nothing for regular onsite wifi. Anyone any thoughts on it?

EduGeek.net - Forums has local groups in North Yorkshire and Cornwall. I'm a mod in North Yorkshire; as a county we hold "Network Manager" meetings (open to all IT leaders/techs in whatever job title they use at their school) approximately half-termly. We vary between moving around schools, to meeting centrally in Ripon/Northallerton. Attendance varies between 6 and 25 depending on date/time, location, and who we have speaking. Smoothwall and NyNET are regulars, as our county providers, plus we've had Sophos in recently as we're migrating to Central. Also broadcast the meeting on Skype for those in the extremes of the county who don't fancy a 3 hour journey to the meeting!

An alternative to inserting images is that candidates are allowed to submit multiple answer scripts. So they could type full exam on EWP except the drawing question, which they draw on paper. If broken arm then a scribe can draw what they’re told/pointing at.

At say 300 miles (ok it's a bit more), a 40kWh Leaf does 150 miles, so 40 minute top-up would have got you there. On a journey that length, i'd expect you to be stopping for 30 minutes for lunch / rest break. 2 stops of 20-30 minutes for loo/rest if you prefer to split it up. I went Bradford to Southampton (250 miles) in my 24kWh Leaf (70-80 mile range) 2 years ago and still got there before my parents as they stop for the loo several times. (Now upgraded to 40kWH) It all depends on your situation and circumstances; i'll never say EVs are right for everybody, but I do challenge "I couldn't drive 300+ miles without having to stop and charge" when we should all be taking regular breaks.

I have similar to David's link, except mine more resembles a speaker stand than a camera tripod. I hadn't thought about wheels for it, but that's a nice idea.
