I am hopping this is the correct (ish) area to post this. We have been asked by an external agency that are working with our SEN team to install team viewer meeting on our teacher PC, so that visually impared students can get direct access to view what is being projected on the whiteboard to the other students direct to their iPad. My main concerns are: 1. the security risks and ports that are oppened by the Team Viewer application as the meeting client is also the same installation as Team Viewer remote, being secure is important as our teacher PC also access SIMS. 2. The impact on bandwidth of our internet connection All they need to be able to do is stream what is being shown on the board direct to the iPad with as little setup or technicial knowledge required. The iPad only needs view only access. The teacher PCs run Windows 7 Pro and the iPad runs iOS10. I would also prefer an application that doesn't require an internet connection to work and keeps all data traffic on the internal network only Not sure if there is any such solution but any advice or pointers etc would be welcomed. Thanks Mark

I have been using TeamViewer for years at home and despite always ensuring I have selected for personal use, it has told me it has detected commercial use! (Even though it's my personal PC at home!) I've tried loads of things suggested on several websites, registry cleaning, changing MAC address, nothing works. Looks like I'm gonna have to look elsewhere! Does anyone have any suggestions for alternatives that will allow me to remote access a Windows PC and MacBook Pro from both Windows 10 and macOS and also from an iOS device.

I asked this in the Windows 10 forum but my manager pointed out we also need to be able to support Mac users. We wanted to sign up with TeamViewer as we've used it in the past but we've tried to contact them about the nonprofit discount and had no response, so we're looking at alternatives. Basically we want something that will allow us to provide remote IT support both to organisation owned and personal computers. Does anyone have any recommendations? It needs to be something that doesn't require admin rights or prior deployment/installation to run (TeamViewer has its QuickSupport that people can just download and use straight away, so something that can work like that would be good). Also needs to not require any firewall faffing around.

Is there another remote program I can use apart from teamviewer on my pc as it keeps saying teamviewer is being used commercially, i would like to access my work pc from home to get used to the network system and eventually do updates at night time

Any recommendations? The monthly cost of some of these can’t be justified for doing the odd bit from home occasionally. I was using teamviewer but they’re on to me now [emoji23]

This may not be a Windows server 2012 problem, but it's only on this OS i have this problem. I have a virtual printerserver Windows server 2012 running. I logon with RDP with no problem. Now we need to have online support on some printers. The company needs to have access to the server through Teamviewer. The problem is that teamviewer will only connect IF i'm already connect to the server through RDP. Otherwise they get this error. And since i can't leave a RDP connection open for the next three months, I need to get it to work when the RDP is not connect. I have already gone through this guide TEAMVIEWER - Error - Screen cannot be captured at the moment due to fast user switching & Installing Teamviewer as a service - kossboss But it didn't help. Anybody tried this. ?

Hi all, Is anyone been able to get teamviewer plugin to work with OCS Inventory? Also do you actually need to install teamviewer? The link for the OCS Teamviewer link is here. Any help would be appreciated regards, Has
