take a look at this https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/step-by-step-deploy-local-7c9ef772/file/150657/1/step%20by%20step%20guide%20to%20deploy%20microsoft%20laps.pdf it looks like you need to specify the OU when running the Set-AdmPwdComputerSelfPermission -Identity Workstations part.

8530 is the non ssl connection port 8531 is ssl. They are both specified under software update point settings in SCCM. The SCCM agent windows update client settings as far as i am aware. Have you forced it to connect on ssl only?

I'm not sure if this is the best way. But in the past we have created a shared mailbox and added users to it. It will automatically show for users if they are using the Full outlook client.

I'll be there tomorrow

Standalone laptop scheduled task to shared folder on server
glen_j replied to ReverentCreature's topic in Windows Server 2016
I'd create a user on the domain and grant it access to the folder in question and then schedule tasks for a batch file first line would be to map drive second line would be the robocopy command or do as @dhicks suggested and map drive and tick reconnect box. -

You could map a drive via command line / batch file. You just need to provide credentials for a user that has access to that folder. syntax is: net use w: \\myserver\fileshare /user:MyID MyPassword -
yeah it's pretty good although bear in mind it is made in china as such doesn't have the refinements that a fluke would but performs well and is rechargeable so no batteries required.

Is this an ssl or l2tp vpn? We've have issues in the past using l2tp. Using ssl instead seems to cure the issue. Normally when using a dfs share. can they access the share by going to \\server\share?

this should give you the info you need. https://support.office.com/en-us/article/how-to-prepare-a-non-routable-domain-such-as-local-domain-for-directory-synchronization-e7968303-c234-46c4-b8b0-b5c93c6d57a7 we also used the Azure ad connect Synchronization Rules Editor to update the Proxy address info as it is uploaded so we didn't have to manually add them.

I'd suggest multiple cheaper ones rather than just one expensive one otherwise there will be long queues waiting for prints to finish.

The easy way is to remove the patch leads and shine a light into the port with someone at the other end looking to see if light comes through. it will at least tell you if the cable is intact.

is it the setting under Configure > Hotspot services?

if you have the mac address you could use the OUI to find the manufacturer. https://www.wireshark.org/tools/oui-lookup.html

i think @woodham is correct the metal will be fused to the glass. Even if you can remove it the glass will have indents where the metal was.

Computer Hardware Security In Schools
glen_j replied to Commnder-Zavala's topic in Physical Security
Fazza is correct, that model has the kensington lock hole at the bottom which does secure the cage to the PC, we have the same model and they are all locked in that fashion. -
You might find that no key will work whilst fastboot is enabled. If it has windows 8 or 10 hold the shift key down and select restart. uefi options are under troubleshooting. Take a look at this. its the same process Gateway Support - Answers, E-Mail, Chat - Windows 10: Access the UEFI BIOS

You just need to copy the NT6 folder from the sims server. normally under SIMS\SNOVA\NT6 on the shared drive.

Found the same thing, queue a few phone calls for folks not being able to get on the internet.

We bought one set from here https://www.comms-express.com/products/rj45-ethernet-splitter-economiser-pair/ bear in mind it will drop the 1gb connection to 2 100mb connections. i don't particularly like using them but they work fine for one off situations like this.

Thanks everyone, not my decision i was asked to look into it. I've added the relevant attendance codes, @Esteban_Child_of_the_Sun @GREED cheeky request but do you have a report to pull the information out of sims that i could have?
