I think it all comes down to choice. Everyone has their own preference and though am not one for loads of TK (only on a fried egg) the bland tasteless food I have experienced in our diningroom, it comes as no surprise that kids want to use TK on their food.

Congratulations to you and your wife. Great news. I am awaiting the imminent arrival of another grandson. He was due yesterday but is staying put where he is for the moment.

Am planning on driving up to John O Groats and mosy round up there found a fab site with 5 ACRES on the beach at Dunnet Head. We are also hoping to fire over to Orkney in one of the vans and go see Skara Brae. We will follow the east coast all the way up and stop along the way. I had been hoping to get away at easter but the rock and roll seats are being fitted second week of the holidays.

No worries Hightower I have been looking for myself for this coming easter and summer. Glad to help though. I will throw more in when I get home as have sackloads there too that you may find useful over the holiday period.

Have a look at this one Beachcomber Campsite - Goswick my cousin stayed here last summer and it is dog friendly right next to the beach. When the tide is out you can walk over to Lindisfarne. The access road however is very bumpy with fair sized holes, mind that was last year they may have fixed it by now. Belated Birthday Wishes glad you had a grand day!!

Am kinda with Pooley on this one. Year in year out we have been increasingly taxed in many different forms almost to the point where we are as well working for nothing. It has gotten progressively worse over the last 10 years or so. Yeah we all have to look at the bigger picture blah de blah de blah but the endless getting from month to month with not much light in sight is at times just too much. To me the last lot and this lot are just performing legalised theft from all of us!!

Some shops you need your passport also when buying stuff specially if you use your credit card. Security is certainly very tight when you land in the US these guys have NO humour whatsoever and have the power to send you right back on the next plane if you don't play nice. Wait BEHIND the yellow line till they tell you to move. All that said once through you will have a fab trip. If your a tea drinker take teabags with you as most places have all the herbal teas and if your taste is bog basic tea take your own. Have to say the tipping thing always hacks me off a tad, (no one ever tips me for doing my job!) it's usually 10% of the final bill. ONLY cross the road at crossing points otherwise you could be done for jaywalking. Generally though the Americans are great on customer service and nothing is too much trouble. Have a great one

I worked for years in a College of Technology in Scotland as Audio Visual Technician. Back in those days you got into lots of different aspects of work so learned a lot along the way. I was then transferred (against my wishes by the way) into graphic design???? But in doing so worked on Macs for 4 years. Later I joined the prison service working in the LRC using pc's. A job became vacant in my local Jail and I applied and got it. It was managing the network in the jail. It was a huge learning curve and without my second line support at the time I would have been floundering. At the time we ran Ergo pro's and Value Plus's with 3.1. After about 3 years the service revamped and overnight we went to Dell Optiplexes and NT4. Can you imagine the user panic over that one!! While in the jail I went through nightschool for HNC Computer Network Support and also loads of inhouse training courses. Later on was MCP and A+ Certification. Not bad for a lassie who started school and the desks had inkwells and blotting paper and nib pens!!

Wow that name is a blast from the past!! Back in the day we used Ergo Pro's running 3.1 in the jail
