Being gay nowadays is much easier than it was way back in the day when I first came out. Bigotry was far worse back then than it is now. Thankfully people are more enlightened now. Yes it can be a bit difficult at times in life but then straight kids have just as hard a time with certain things too. I think overall all our children have times when life is tough and challenging. As a parent I would love my boys whether gay or straight it is what a parent does. We cannot choose their lives for them but we can support them in whatever road they have to walk.

Thank you all so much I am doing fine now. Treatment finished a couple of weeks ago and I managed to work right up till halfway through then it got too much and I needed time off. I know how lucky I am they caught it fast and it was low grade so the prognosis is really good. These people (Daft as a Brush) took me back and forth for treatments and it made my life so much easier. It took the stress out of trying to get there and home. It costs them 10 Thousand a year to run the service so even getting third place in the vote would pay for 6 months service. Thank you so much for your help in this

The people who transported me for my treatment 'Daft as a Brush' do marvelous work for cancer patients. They made a difficult and at times frightening experience much more bearable for me. They are in the running for a People's Postcode Trust Award. The more votes they have the better chance they have to receive much needed help. They deliver a free service for all Cancer patients in Tyne and Wear and as far as Berwick and down to Durham. First time I stopped I saved all the money and bought my first motorbike. Was off 5 years that time. Cold turkey. Second time I was off for 9 years again cold turkey. Saved the money and bought my first Beetle this time the incentive is the current radiotherapy am going through. Seems prudent now more than ever to get back off the evil weed!! Nope it is not easy but for me counting the hours from the last cig works wonders. When it gets bad I think 'I'll just wait another hour then have one' I then go do something else and find that the hour has come and gone and I have forgotten the urge. Good luck to you all

My van is a Subaru Sambar tiny engine but it is the dogs. Great MPG and fun to drive. I have a rock and roll rear seat that converts into a 3/4 double bed. I also have an old (great condition) Harrison awning which works well for the day stuff ie cooking, sitting about in the evenings etc. Am heading down the Yorkshire coast soon for a few days. Summer though I think may be heading to Argyll and some good walking.
