  1. The balmy evening walks above the fishquay and fabulous sunsets over the Tyne made for a fab weekend
  2. @Flatpackhamster This made me spout tea all over the keyboard!!! Thanks for a good laugh this morning I bath every morning before work and wash hair daily too. I truly hate weekend days wandering Tynemouth Market and walk past some minger who obviously has had a shower bypass!!!

  4. @pcstru that just had me in tears!!!! What a beautiful piece of writing
  5. Totally agree @broc my grandsons and granddaughter are the loves of my life and make all the dark scary days worthwhile. They bring so much joy into my life and everyone around them
  6. I am fast approaching the big 60! Inside though am 27 and still full of mischief at times. By the time you get to this age as others have said you may have lost parents or siblings etc. There are two ways to deal with this, have a meltdown cause we are now of the generation who will most likely fade off this mortal coil OR you grab everyday by the neck and live in the moment. All we have is right now so I try my best to make it count!
  7. Can I ask and am not meaning to sound horrible or anything. What is it with designer stubble? I was married to a man with a full set and he only shaved it all off after we split up. The stubble look just looks well 'scruffy' and not really a good look. Just wondered and guys no offence intended.
  8. Dear god!!!!! Try being the age of some of us 'more senior' geekers!!! My oldest son will be 40 on his birthday
  9. @RabbieBurns they filmed bits in Grangemouth too. Probably the most exciting thing to happen in the auld toon in years. A few of my cousins wandered along and watched the filming.
  10. That is the awful thing about grief, at times it feels like the loss was a very long time ago and we feel we are recovering finally. At others it feels like it happened two minutes ago and the pain is as strong as ever. I have no wise words for you Bodminman all I can say it allow yourself to feel what you feel in the moment. Pushing it down underneath only makes it worse. Allow yourself to cry if you need to most of all though be kind to yourself and not expect too much from yourself. Eduhug x
  11. As someone who has had several transfusions both blood and iron infusions thank you all so much!! Without them I dread to think where I would be today. I am A+ with antibodies so cannot give blood either but so wish I could cause I know what it did for me getting my donated blood.

  16. Am almost finished reading Ann Cleeves Shetland series and have loved it.
  17. I have really no words for all this. Am just sickened to my core that this atrocity has been carried out in our streets. My heart goes out to this young man's family.
  18. Sonic-light
  19. And breath
  20. Am in the process of looking for another van. Something smallish but bigger than my current one. Would give my remaining back teeth for a Vdub but the pennies don't stretch that far. That said I love the whole getting away weekends and sleeping comfortably in my van and living in the awning. Great stuff. @rad am seriously jealous. Had 4 Beetles so yes am a VW fangirl
  21. Anyone know how to disable the reset functions on an ipad3. One of our iPads has walked and though it can be tracked in Meraki whoever took it must have hit the rest button thus making it untrackable.
  22. Glad to help
  23. Once had a similar issue along those lines. Was expected to go to a meeting that started at 6pm. Cutting a long story short it resulted in me getting a letter from the Chair of gov's. However after stating writing that attendance to these meetings is 'not optional' I replied with if they are saying that then they are in effect changing the work and conditions of support staff of the whole --Council. I got REALLY bad rep for all that and though it was never said was downgraded in job evaluation. After moving within the school to another position the person who took over my role had the role renamed and given a rise to the tune of 6 grade points!! As I said at the time goodwill does not pay the rent!! Maybe this should be move to BRD?
