@AlexBillbridgenorth I find your attitude a little bit scary to be honest. The mere fact you used the Stephen Hawking example shows that you think ALL disabled people can work no matter what is wrong with them. With the best will in the world Mr Hawking probably has had better finance and care in his life which ENABLED him to continue. Can your ordinary poor bugger in a chair say the same? There is such a thing as differentiation what one person can cope with someone else may well not. I totally agree with you regarding 'them that CHOOSE not to work' but unless there are changes to the whole welfare system these people will continue to milk it for all it's worth.

Just Tom drum. We have surds, toms, tenor drums etc in the band and we can try out the other drums but I like my tom. On a side note my dad was a drummer in a pipe band in Scotland and was three time individual world champion for solo drumming

I reckon so @TomDrummer

Need a hug - feeling a bit sorry for myself

Am so sorry for your loss. Our pets are our family and often folk just do not get the grief we feel when losing our animal. Like @Smee has said it has probably enabled ALL your grief to come out which is better for you in the long though you may not be feeling that right now. Allow yourself to feel this hurt then celebrate his life. Take your other dog out and cuddle him and let yourself heal. Huge hugs have been where you are and it does get better eventually Also be comforted that he went over the bridge in his own home rather than at the vets in a strange scary place x -
I hike and had been out for a while in the last 18 months with the treatments etc and after effects but am getting back to it now. Had a few good hikes over the New Year trip away and was dead chuffed. I hit the big 60 week after next and am aiming to get back to my drumming in the band!! Well done Harry Monkey!!

Am not far behind you @pcstru I am £92 a month for gas and £42 for electric. My flat is an old Tyneside flat with an extension at the back for toilet and bathroom. The main part of the building cannot be cavity walled as 'it is single brick'. I live alone and for most of this year had not much heating on at all and they upped my payments from 74 to 92 'to cover any bills'

We had our yesterday and it was lovely mind you we got a new cook recently and the lad is doing lovely stuff. It costs £2 for children if they are paying and £3.40 for staff if paying. Lunchtimes supervisors are free but they have to work for it .
