Yes you can. If you enter the PC name during the build it will just use the same name in AD, regardless of what OU it is in. I used to pre populate AD with the computer names so I knew MDT would out it where I want without me having to go back to AD afterwards. Note that MDT will not move the machine to a different OU if the machine exists already - unless things have changed in the past few years

Nothing will change with the ADSync users but if you plan to enable again in the future then you must clear the ImmutableID for the cloud users. Obviously any further changes in AD will not change the cloud user and all management must be done via the 365 portal (or Powershell)

We are serverless so want to avoid any Windows server. Looking at the RS1619xs+ and adding a 10GB card to it. The 16 series seems to be the most basic that supports the M365 backups.

We are looking at purchasing a NAS for each of our 4 schools. These will be used to share large video files recorded in our dedicated TV studios. The files will be uploaded to the NAS, opened and edited on classroom PCs. All PCs on this network have 10GB capabilities so a NAS with the same would be beneficial. Ideally, it would be good if at night all the NAS boxes across the 4 schools sync with each other moving the edited files to be available locally for each school. I also like the idea of using the storage on the NAS for Microsoft 365 backups, which is something the Synology units offer. Have anyone got examples of Synology boxes that are doing something similar to the above. The units need to be rack mount, and preferably have dual PSU and 10GB copper or fibre.

How much was the system in the first place? I know it’s not the point or right but sometime just cut your losses and move on. Creating a 60 page document must have taken a while, how much time that took you won’t get back or reimbursed for.

We have a lease line that terminates into a wall box. The two yellow pigtails hang out of this, one of which plugs into the ADVA box. I need to move this about 5m but moving the actual cables is not possible. I want to extend the yellow pigtail. Does anyone know what type of fibre this is? It must be Single Mode. OM1 I assume?

We have Meraki MS switching in place and Cambium Wi-Fi. I want to allow devices on our WiFi vlan to AirPlay to computers running AirServer. Has anyone got this working on a Cambium Wi-Fi setup?

No issues here. When you say Meraki, we are Meraki switches but not firewall

They are technically the same, just the Edu has less features and is really aimed at Teachers. Your changes probably haven’t synced to the client yet. This could be every 8 hours, regardless if you hit the sync button or not
