All servers for us are Standard_B2ms sizes

We run MF on a server in Azure. We also have a DC in Azure. We have a couple of other servers too. We have a VPN back into out network from Azure that allows all our 4 schools to connect to the servers. And the printers connected to Papercut this way as well. You should be able to do it on all one machine for about £70 per month, but we pay about £200 for all our services

This was the issue! Some of the drivers didn;t even have it showing as it was using a custom config. Setting it to iR-ADV and I can change the setting and it works. Thanks so much! -
Papercut Mobility Print - Hits queue as SYSTEM
snagrat replied to snagrat's topic in Network and Classroom Management
We use Google authentication rather than a domain so not sure that is an option. -
I have setup Papercut Mobility Print and can successfully install the client, sign in and the printers appear. But when we print from home the job gets added to the queue from the user SYSTEM. This means we cannot release using our cards or by the user logging into the web GUI. Any suggestions when it doesn't go in with the username of the user?

If it’s a DfE CtC school then get the supplier to put the fibre in and they can just build it into their costs.

Having a problem with the barcodes that get printed for the invoices using PSF and a Brother QL-800. If someone else uses these could you let me know what label sizes you use and the printer setup? TIA

Have you installed the Surface Driver pack? Windows 10 or Windows 11? What is the BSOD error code?

DfE Connecting the Classroom project funding
snagrat replied to password1234's topic in Wireless Networks
All depends how you word it. Every school we have done we have installed Cat6A to the AP and Cat6 to other locations where the cable is not long enough to reach a new cabinet. Some schools have been completely required. -

For us the switches have come in pretty quickly, within a week. The APs are still on order though. Just had one lot come through from a July order. -
Thats great. Although not sure how I actually enforce the policy in Lightspeed now. I've set one config so hopefully that is all that is all that is need to force it on.
-
We need to enforce the requirement to use a passcode on currently deployed iPads managed by Lightspeed MDM. I can see setting to configure a passcode policy but unsure if this actually enforces it? Also does anyone know what happens if I do enforce it, will they get prompted to create a passcode themselves?

Cloudiway is a solution I’ve used many times for this sort of thing

No problems here. You using self hosted or cloud version?
-
Well we use them as full blown Chromebooks but disable all the Google apps. Google Docs still might show on the device but as the service is disabled it doesn't allow you do anythnig.
